Proof that Ernie Knoll is a false prophet and guided by another spirit.
All the evidence. —And it is powerful evidence!
Where do Ernie’s dreams originate? They either come from God or from Satan; there is no alternative.
The Biblical Signs of a True Prophet. There are a number of definite, Bible evidences of a true prophet. Ellen White fitted all of them. No other “prophet” in our denomination ever has fitted them.
How Long Do We Test? How long do we wait before we can have certainty, one way or the other?
It is Urgent that We Understand This. For our own safety, and those of our loved ones.
The Best Introductory Statement. From someone who worked closely with Ernie for several months.
How Ernie’s Dreams Got Started: The Best Single Presentation. Information that Ernie gave during a lengthy interview with several interested people.
A Time Line to What Happened and What It Led to. All the dated events which are known, down to near the present.
Warning: The Hidden Truth. Three individuals with close contacts with Ernie reveal the hideous truth about him.
A careful analysis of many of Ernie’s published dreams, down to the present time.
You will especially want to read his two heavily doctrinal dreams, with their peculiar statements:
(1) “Reverence My Sanctuary” October 12, 2010. Item after item in this dream is disproved by the Spirit of Prophecy.
(2) “Final Events and the First Supper” December 12, 2012. Satan reveals that he wants to kill nearly all the Sabbath keepers—before they can give the loud cry message to the world!
Ernie Knoll claims to be in frequent contact, through dreams, with the highest authorities in Heaven. But the surfacing of several startling new facts has caused me to be even more in doubt of them. I have just completed a careful reading of all his published dreams, from the very beginning up to the present.
Repeatedly, I have found evidence that his two sources of information, an angel he calls “Herald” and one purporting to be “Jesus” Himself, provide him with information that contradicts clear statements of Inspiration.
Then, in one of his most recent dreams, Satan’s objective for the Advent people has been more fully unmasked.First, let me provide you with a simplified view of coming events. (For a remarkably complete understanding of the key components of final events, from just before the National Sunday Law, onward, obtain a copy of my 336-page hardback, The End of Time: single=$7.00; box of 8=$32.88. Phone for shipping.) As we near the Final Crisis, which will begin with the enactment of the National Sunday Law (NSL) in America, conditions will worsen. But, when the NSL is enacted, every Sabbathkeeper will very quickly have to make his final decision for or against the Bible Sabbath. Some will remain loyal to God; but most, fearing “the threat of persecution and death,” will join the opposition by worshiping on Sunday.
Those who remain faithful will then receive the seal and outpouring of the latter rain—and will begin giving the loud cry to the world, in which they declare the issues in the three angels’ messages.
Notice these Inspired comments:
Dreams are classed with visions, as being essentially the same (1T 569; 5T 658).
Some people are eager to accept everything that comes in the form of a dream (7BC 952)
The statement that “nothing is objectionable” is an unsound basis for acceptance (2SM 93-95).
Have no faith in dreams or visions leading away from the original truth (2SM 98). Devils visit people with lying dreams (1T 433).
False dreams are inspired by Satan’s spirit (1T 569; 5T 658). Satan gives information to his mediums (2T 172) through dreams.
A special objective of Satan in giving fraudulent visions and dreams is to cause us to regard all of them—including Ellen White’s—as fanaticism (2SM 77-78)
As they proclaim the truth, a significant number out in the world will accept it and become loyal to God and unite with them in giving the message.
But the judgments of God, in the seven last plagues, will not fall until the last soul on earth has made his decision, the loud cry ends, and human probation closes. Only then will terrible judgment from God fall on the wicked (which, of course, would, at that time, include apostate Adventists).
The entire controversy will be over whether or not to keep the Bible Sabbath or keep Sunday. After the NSL is enacted, satanic miracle working will begin; and, at some point during the loud cry, Satan himself will appear in various places on earth as a counterfeit to Christ’s Second Advent. But Satan will not be permitted to imitate the worldwide arrival of Christ with a myriad of angels in the skies. Also, when Christ comes, He will not touch the earth; but He will only call His faithful ones to come up to Him.
(You can read the details about what is outlined above, in Great Controversy, chapters 25, 36, 38-41.)
But in Ernie’s December 12, 2012 dream, entitled “Final Events and the First Supper,” Satan has decided to provide several distinct new items of information. Indeed, they are an astounding denial of final events as given by Inspiration:
1 - “Herald,” who supposedly walks, talks, and flies with Ernie—is now said to actually be Gabriel, the highest angel in heaven! Ernie has been repeatedly complimented and praised, by both Herald and Jesus, as God’s special messenger in these last days; so the point, that Herald is said to be Gabriel—makes Ernie even more important.
2 - God does not wait until after the final close of probation to pour out judgments; but, a little prior to the NSL or at its very beginning, he is said to immediately send angels to pour out plagues of flowing fire upon most Adventist institutions and schools (including even “preschools”)—and then slaying those Adventists who manage to flee from the burning buildings.
3 - As faithful Advent believers begin the loud cry by proclaiming the Sabbath truth,—those in the world specifically reject the Sabbath truth because of the terrible judgments which God has already sent on Sabbathkeepers! This is incredibly wrong!
4 - Then Satan will appear as Christ, coming from a “dark hole” in the sky, with myriads of angels and being seen by everyone. Every eye will see him as he lands on the earth and declares that this is Christ’s Second Advent. This is also a total perversion of the truth!
You will find that dream analyzed in Analysis of Ernie Knoll’s Dreams. In order to quickly go directly to that astounding dream, click here: Final Events and the First Supper.:
We are told to test so-called visions or prophetic dreams before accepting them (2SM 90).
Ernie Knoll is totally lacking in the Biblical evidence establishing one as a genuine prophet of God! This evidence was clearly revealed in Bible times, and in the life of Ellen White.
I wanted to provide you with a rather complete list of the Biblical signs (from chapter 4 in my book, Prophet of the End, pp. 32-38). But there is not space here for this. You can read them in my book.
Those signs were repeatedly fulfilled in Ellen White’s first fifteen years as prophet; but they continued on for thirty years,—in order to make it totally certain that she was a genuine prophet!
Certain prophetic signs are especially marked in her dreams and visions. (We are told that dreams are classed with visions, as being essentially the same 1T 569; 5T 658):
1 - In those first years, from December 1844 onward, Ellen would have visions/dreams in public—not privately or alone during the night.
2 - While in vision, she would not breathe! This would still happen, even though the vision might last one-half hour to two hours or more.
3 - At times she would hold a very heavy Bible, totally outstretched in one hand, for 30 to sixty minutes or more.
4 - All the while, without looking at the Bible, she would turn pages and point with the other hand to various Bible texts. Men would stand on chairs and verify that she was pointing to the exact verse that she was naming and quoting.
Ernie Knoll has never done even one of these signs of a true prophet of God! Not one. All his dreams occur at night, alone, or after he goes to bed.
Consider the following (taken from pp. 36, 38 in my book, Prophet of the End).
Those who personally witnessed the visions were careful to observe what took place. And they were given the freedom to examine Ellen while in vision. At times, physicians were called for a more thorough and critical examination. Here is a statement by Mrs. Martha Amadon, who witnessed a number of the visions:
“As one who has frequently observed her in vision, knowing the company of people usually present, all deeply observant and believers in her exercises, I have often wondered why a more vivid description of the scenes which have transpired has not been given.
“In vision her eyes were open. There was no breath, but there were graceful movements of the shoulders, arms, and hands expressive of what she saw. It was impossible for anyone else to move her hands or arms. She often uttered words singly, and sometimes sentences which expressed to those about her the nature of the view she was having, either of heaven or of earth.
“Her first word in vision was ‘Glory,’ sounding at first close by, and then dying away in the distance, seemingly far away. This was sometimes repeated. . . There was never an excitement among those present during a vision; nothing caused fear. It was a solemn, quiet scene, sometimes lasting an hour. . .
“When the vision was ended, and she lost sight of the heavenly light, as it were, coming back to the earth once more, she would exclaim with a long-drawn sigh, as she took her first natural breath, ‘D-a-r-k.’ She was then limp and strengthless.”—Martha Amadon, Notebook Leaflets; Spirit of Prophecy Treasure Chest, 20.
Here is George L. Butler’s description, given in 1874. On many occasions, he also witnessed public visions that she received:
“For nearly thirty years past these visions have been given with greater or less frequency, and have been witnessed by many, oftentimes by unbelievers as well as those believing them. They generally, but not always, occur in the midst of earnest seasons of religious interest while the Spirit of God is specially present. . .
“The time Mrs. White is in this condition has varied from fifteen minutes to one hundred and eighty. During this time the heart and pulse continue to beat, the eyes are always wide open, and seem to be gazing at some far-distant object, and are never fixed on any person or thing in the room. They are always directed upward. They exhibit a pleasant expression. There is no ghastly look or any resemblance of fainting. The brightest light may be suddenly brought near her eyes, or feints made as if to thrust something into the eye, and there is never the slightest wink or change in expression on that account; and it is sometimes hours and even days after she comes out of this condition before she recovers her natural sight. She says it seems to her that she comes back into a dark world, yet her eyesight is in nowise injured by her visions.
“While she is in vision, her breathing entirely ceases. No breath ever escapes her nostrils or lips when in this condition. This has been proved by many witnesses, among them physicians of skill, and themselves unbelievers in the visions, on some occasions being appointed by a public congregation for the purpose.
“It has been proved many times by tightly holding the nostrils and mouth with the hand, and by putting a looking glass before them so close that any escape of the moisture of the breath would be detected. In this condition she often speaks words and short sentences, yet not the slightest breath escapes. When she goes into this condition, there is no appearance of swooning or faintness, her face retains its natural color, and the blood circulates as usual. Often she loses her strength temporarily and reclines or sits; but at other times she stands up. She moves her arms gracefully, and often her face is lighted up with radiance as though the glory of heaven rested upon her. She is utterly unconscious of everything going on around her while she is in vision, having no knowledge whatever of what is said and done in her presence. Persons may pinch her flesh, and do things which would cause great and sudden pain in her ordinary condition, and she will not notice it by the slightest tremor.
“There are none of the disgusting grimaces or contortions which usually attend spiritualist mediums; but calm, dignified, and impressive, her very appearance strikes the beholder with reverence and solemnity. There is nothing fanatical in her appearance. When she comes out of this condition she speaks and writes from time to time that which she has seen while in vision; and the supernatural character of these visions is seen even more clearly in what she thus reveals than in her appearance and condition while in vision, for many things have thus been related which it was impossible for her to know in any other way.
“Peculiar circumstances in the lives of individuals, whom she never before had seen in the flesh, and secrets hidden from the nearest acquaintances have been made known by her when she had no personal knowledge of the parties other than by vision. Often has she been in an audience where she was wholly unacquainted with the individuals composing it, when she would get up and point out person after person whom she never had seen before, in the flesh, and tell them what they had done, and reprove their sins. I might mention many other items of like nature, but space forbids. These things can be proved by any amount of testimony, and we confidently affirm that they are of such a character that they could not be accomplished by deception.”—George I. Butler, in Review and Herald, June 9, 1874.
Over the years, many physicians carefully examined her while in vision. One was Dr. Brown of Parkville, Michigan, a medical doctor who was also a practicing spiritualist. Hearing of her visions, he confidently declared that they were from spiritualism; and, that if he could examine her while in vision, he would be able to prove it—for he would quickly get in contact with the “floating spirit” guiding her and then directly control her himself.
Soon he had the opportunity. On January 12, 1861, Ellen spoke at a meeting in Parkville. As it was concluding, she was taken off in vision. Those present mentioned Dr. Brown; so he was asked to come and examine her. J.N. Loughborough, a witness who was present, afterward wrote down what happened:
“Before he had half completed his examination, he [Dr. Brown] turned deathly pale and shook like an aspen leaf. Elder White said, ‘Will the doctor report her condition?’ He replied, ‘She does not breathe,’ and rapidly made his way to the door. Those at the door who knew of his boasting, said, ‘Go back, and do as you said you would; bring that woman out of the vision.’ In great agitation he grasped the knob of the door, but was not permitted to open it until inquiry was made by those near the door, ‘Doctor, what is it?’ He replied, ‘God only knows; let me out of this house!’ ”—Statement by J.N. Loughborough.
Commenting on her visions, her husband, James White, said this:
“On coming out of vision, whether in the daytime or a well-lighted room at night, all is total darkness [for her]. Her power to distinguish even the most brilliant objects, held within a few inches of the eyes, returns but gradually. . . She has probably had, during the past twenty-three years, between one and two hundred visions. These have been given under almost every variety of circumstances, yet maintaining a wonderful similarity.”—James White, Life Incidents, 1868, p. 272.
The experience of having a vision never weakened or debilitated Ellen. Instead, each one was usually followed by increased natural strength and improved health.
On several occasions, while in vision, Ellen held a Bible on her hand while her arm was outstretched—straight out—from her body. Twice, in vision, she held large open Bibles outstretched on one hand for long periods.
“One experience . . carries us back to the early part of the year 1845, and had to do with the large Harmon family Bible weighing 18½ pounds. One morning at her own home in Portland, Maine, while in vision, Ellen Harmon stepped over to a bureau upon which rested the large volume, picked it up, placed it on her left hand, and then, extending it at arm’s length, held the closed book with ease for half an hour. During the vision, in short exclamations, she referred to the value of the Word of God.
“Under ordinary circumstances she was unable to pick up this book; for she was in frail health and at that time weighed only eighty pounds. She was in no way fatigued by this experience.”—Spirit of Prophecy Treasure Chest, p. 23.
The above-mentioned Bible is stored in Washington, D.C. The present writer personally met the only individual who has, since that time, held that same Bible outstretched in his hand for over ten minutes. He was a former weight-lifting champion. As I recall, his record was 13 minutes. This was back in the 1950s.
At the Sabbath Conferences, held in New England in 1848, major doctrinal studies were carried on by a number of faithful Christians. At these meetings, Ellen was taken off in vision (whenever the group was hopelessly locked in their discussions) and given the solution to the problem.
But, on one occasion that summer, they finally came to the point where it seemed personalities and views clashed so decidedly that any further advance was totally impossible. Alexander Ross, who was present at this particular meeting, later related the incident on January 4, 1884. Here is his statement:
“Sister White, while in vision, arose to her feet and took the family Bible upon her left hand. . . While holding it open, high up, without looking toward it, with her right hand she would turn from text to text, and placing her finger on the Scripture, would repeat the same. I looked at many of the texts to see if she was repeating the one to which she pointed. Myself or some of the company looked at them all. In every case she not only repeated the text to which she pointed, but she did so while her eyes were looking upward and in an opposite direction from the Bible. It was these Scriptures which she repeated that overthrew the false theories . . at Volney [New York], in August 1848, and caused us to unite upon the truth.”—Spirit of Prophecy Treasure Chest, p. 122.
In the following statement, Arthur L. White describes the manner in which the information that Ellen received in vision was written down:
1. Visions given in public and accompanied by marked physical phenomena. 2. Visions given during a period of prayer or writing, unaccompanied by physical phenomena. 3. Visions given during the quiet hours of the night, often referred to as “prophetic dreams.”
“ ‘It has been supposed by some that in Mrs. White’s experiences she wrote while in vision,’ he pointed out, ‘but this is not true. Some have concluded that, when she wrote, she was recording words which she heard repeated to her by an angel.
“ ‘This, too, is erroneous, except in rare instances when short, direct quotations are given of what the attending angel said.
“ ‘Some have been of the opinion that there was a mechanical force which guided the pen which she held in her hand. Such a view is also entirely out of harmony with the facts.
“ ‘The revelation consisted of the enlightening of the mind; and then, when not in vision, it was the task of the prophet—with the aid of the Spirit of God, of course—to pass on to others instruction, admonition and information of a divine origin which she had received. A wide range of subjects was covered in the visions.
“ ‘At times, the events of the past, the present and the future were opened up to Ellen White in a most dramatic way, giving her the impression that she was actually witnessing in rapid succession a vivid reenactment of the scenes of history.’ ”—A.L. White, quoted in Prophet of Destiny, pp. 73-74.
D.T. Bourdeau settled the matter in his own mind in a very direct and definite way. The following incident took place at Buck’s Bridge, New York, in 1857 while Ellen was in vision:
“June 28, 1857, I saw Sister Ellen G. White in vision for the first time. I was an unbeliever in the visions; but one circumstance among others that I might mention convinced me that her visions were of God. To satisfy my mind as to whether she breathed or not [while in vision], I first put my hand on her chest sufficiently long to know that there was no more heavings of the lungs than there would have been had she been a corpse. I then took my hand and placed it over her mouth, pinching her nostrils between my thumb and forefinger, so that it was impossible for her to exhale or inhale air, even if she had desired to do so. I held her thus with my hand about ten minutes, long enough for her to suffocate under ordinary circumstances; she was not in the least affected by this ordeal. Since witnessing this wonderful phenomenon, I have not once been inclined to doubt the divine origin of her visions.”—Statement by D.T. Bourdeau, Battle Creek, Michigan, dated February 4, 1891.
How much “testing” do we do to one claiming to be a new prophet, before we decide? If we find that the person is not truly converted, does not study God’s Word very much, has a tendency to be proud, and—worst of all, tends to speak words which only evil angels could inspire,—then we can stop testing. If the person claiming to be a prophet of God brings messages which do not agree with the Inspired Writings, and he does not show the Biblical tests of not breathing while receiving a vision in public, etc., then his claim to prophetic status must be rejected! We do not have to hesitate about the matter, or give him more time to prove himself.
Ellen White, significantly, never said there would be another prophet. She never said there would be a need for one.
Seriously, why would we need another prophet? What could a new one provide us that is not already in the Spirit of Prophecy? Here are several facts about the Spirit of Prophecy writings:
God has instructed us in the Spirit of Prophecy (4T 12-13), and He wants us to confirm our faith in it (1SM 41). We are to follow the directions given through it (GW 308; 8T 298). It speaks only truth (4T13). It reveals Satan’s final deceptions (1SM 48; 2SM 78).
A special test is “by their fruits, ye shall know them.” Read 5 Testimonies 671:1-672:0. The fruits borne by the Spirit of Prophecy are outstanding; those produced by the false prophets are worthless.
“Satan is . . constantly pressing in the spurious—to lead away from the truth. The very last deception of Satan will be to make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God. ‘Where there is no vision, the people perish’ (Proverbs 29:18). Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God’s remnant people in the true testimony.”—Letter 12, 1890; 1 Selected Messages, 48.
“Soon every possible effort will be made to discount and pervert the truth of the testimonies of God’s Spirit. We must have in readiness the clear, straight messages that since 1846 have been coming to God’s people. There will be those once united with us in the faith who will search for new, strange doctrines, for something odd and sensational to present to the people. They will bring in all conceivable fallacies.”—Letter 73, 1903; 1 Selected Messages, 41.
“There will be a hatred kindled against the testimonies which is satanic. The workings of Satan will be to unsettle the faith of the churches in them, for this reason: Satan cannot have so clear a track to bring in his deceptions and bind up souls in his delusions if the warnings and reproofs and counsels of the Spirit of God are heeded.”—Letter 40, 1890; 1 Selected Messages, 48.
“He [Satan] will bring in spurious visions to mislead, and will mingle the false with the true, and so disgust people that they will regard everything that bears the name of visions as a species of fanaticism; but honest souls, by contrasting false and true, will be enabled to distinguish between them.”—Letter 12, 1890; 2 Selected Messages, 78.
Many of these false prophets arise so they can be admired as great people. But these self-seeking ones are especially susceptible to the impressions of Satan. God cannot use those who wish to vaunt themselves up.
Good friends, please know that we are also messengers of the true God, right now, to the degree that we defend and teach the Bible/Spirit of Prophecy truths! As you do so, you are His chosen servant. We can be thankful that close fellowship with Heaven is not reserved only for special people, for God’s prophets. We are also His beloved children, carefully guided by Him as we, each day, yield anew our lives to Him. —vf
The influence that someone in close contact with evil powers can produce on our people is frightening! For this reason, I have started a new website on which I will place all of this information, plus the complete 16-page analysis of Ernie’s special dreams, as published on his website, on a new website which I now own: ernieknollfacts.com
We do not need “new light” from Ernie Knoll; and that which he is giving through his published dreams is false and misleading. The “new light” we need is to open the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy each day, study, read, obey,—and praise God for it! — vf
“In these days of delusion, every one who is established in the truth will have to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. Every variety of error will be brought out in the mysterious working of Satan, which would, if it were possible, deceive the very elect, and turn them from the truth. . .
“There will be false dreams and false visions, which have some truth, but lead away from the original faith. The Lord has given men a rule by which to detect them: ‘To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them.’ If they belittle the law of God, if they pay no heed to His will as revealed in the testimonies of His Spirit, they are deceivers. They are controlled by impulse and impressions which they believe to be from the Holy Spirit and consider more reliable than the Inspired Word. They claim that every thought and feeling is an impression of the Spirit; and when they are reasoned with out of the Scriptures, they declare that they have something more reliable. But while they think that they are led by the Spirit of God, they are in reality following an imagination wrought upon by Satan. I would say to our dear brethren who have been so eager to accept everything that came in the form of visions and dreams, Beware that you be not ensnared. . . Delusions and deceptions will come in among us, and will multiply as we near the end.” —7 Bible Commentary, 952
By his own statements, this man wanted a divine guide who, instead of telling him to repent and forsake his sins, would commend him all the time, and would provide him with benefits which other people do not normally receive.
And he wanted more. He said he was angry with God, even hated Him—even to cursing Him. But he now specified a condition by which reconciliation could be made. If God would speak directly to him, as was done to Bible prophets, so he could, as he said, feel important again, then they could be happy together.
But access to the true God is far different than the kind Ernie wanted. We must first be broken in contrition, desire to repent and willing to turn from our sins. We must plead for forgiveness, and become humble, obedient children of God.
And we must gratefully accept whatever plan He has for our lives. For He knows better than we do the special work He would have us to do.
We must recognize and freely admit that we ourselves are the cause of most of our problems. We must never blame God for the situation we find ourselves in!
But unfortunately, Ernie chose a different road. There is no indication that he ever confessed and forsook his sins, was forgiven, and became a changed man.
Because of his intensely strong hatred of God, who he blamed for removing both his wealth and the praise of men,—Ernie invited the special attention of demons.
The crisis occurred one night when Ernie cursed God and demanded that God give him prophetic dreams.
This is a story which could happen to any of us, if we also turn our back on God, refuse to come to Him in confession and forsaking of sin; if we blamed Him for all the problems in our lives, told Him we hated Him and then set our own terms for accepting Him: a special position of honor before the people: a prophetic status and the giving of supernatural dreams.
“Dreams from the Lord are classed in the word of God with visions and are as truly the fruits of the spirit of prophecy as visions. Such dreams, taking into the account the persons who have them and the circumstances under which they are given, contain their own proofs of their genuineness.”—1 Testimonies, 569-570.
Ernie wanted money, applause, and a special mediumship of communication with the spirit world.
—And he got it, but at such a fearful loss. I am not sure if he still realizes what he did that night. But Ernie made a contract with a friendly demon.
If I knew someone who was in frequent contact with demons, and was effectively capturing the attention of historic Advent believers with tales of his fascinating trips to heaven and back with his spirit guide; and if I had the personal testimonies before me of sincere Advent believers who knew the whole story of how Earnie’s story started and what it led to, you would want me to warn you by providing specific details. I would not be a faithful friend if I did not do this.
So here is this information. It comes to you from both personal analysis of Ernie’s published dreams, as well as from close friends of his, and from concerned researchers who have carefully investigated what is involved in his life and presentations.
It is important that we learn lessons from the experience of Ernie Knoll, that will warn us to stay far away from the path that he took.
This is an unusual story, so let us begin. In doing so, I will quote from several witnesses and investigators, and everything will be keyed to a chronological pattern of dates. Much of the information about Ernie is in bits and pieces. This present research study will try to provide you with one, continuous story—from beginning until down near the present. But we will begin with a statement by Linda Kirk (all bold, italics, and underline are mine. Paragraphs in double bracket [[..]] are also mine):
Linda Kirk, who had become a persona friend of Ernie’s, has given the best analysis of him and his messages, up to May 18, 2008.
This report will begin with most of her introductory statement:
It is with much prayer and loving concern that I write this letter to you. I feel the need to give you an explanation as to why I have come to believe, after much prayerful consideration over the past six months, that the dreams are not from God.
The content of your dreams, Ernie, appeals to many that are serious about following God, and the counsel of the Spirit of Prophecy—the conservative Seventh-day Adventist . . The thought comes, if these dreams can help God reach our brothers and sisters, and bring stronger conviction to our hearts as well, then they must be from God.
But let’s consider what else we know from the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. If Satan has a specific target in our world today, it would be the sincere, spiritually minded Seventh-day Adventist, who is sighing and crying for the abominations done in the land and in the church. They are open to prophecy because they believe in the Spirit of Prophecy. They are open to new light because Ellen White has said there will be new light. They are open to dreams and visions, because Ellen White had dreams and visions, and the Bible prophesies that this will take place in the last days. So, what deception could Satan use to reach this group?
Since Satan is the master deceiver, and he especially hates God’s remnant people, wouldn’t we expect that he would mastermind a deception specifically targeted to this select group of people? And since he is the master deceiver, wouldn’t we expect it to be so close to the truth that it is barely discernable? With those thoughts in mind, when something comes along that has many of the earmarks of the true prophetic gift, we should be ever so cautious to investigate it thoroughly, lest Satan catch us off guard, and pull us into his deception.
While there is much good counsel and truth in the dreams, which agrees with the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy, we cannot afford to overlook any insinuation, allusion, or hint of anything that would almost imperceptibly lead one off the narrow path. Satan doesn’t mind using much truth, if he can slip in a tiny bit of error, hopefully unnoticed.
We know that Satan is preparing for the ultimate deception. As Seventh-day Adventists, we are well aware that he will personate Christ. We are told just how this will happen. So, we’re on guard and prepared, we think. But what if he throws in some pre-personating deceptions? Are we prepared?
Think about this: Since, at the personating of Christ, Satan will “bear the appearance of Christ in every particular,” “His voice is soft and subdued, yet full of melody. In gentle, compassionate tones he presents some of the same gracious, heavenly truths which the Saviour uttered; he heals the diseases of the people” (5T698, GC 624) We know he is going to do that. Shouldn’t we also know that, in his deceptions even now, he can appear to look and talk just like Jesus, heal people, and present the same messages Jesus presented through the Spirit of Prophecy?
Of course he can! He can put thoughts, even good thoughts, into our minds, so it seems that our prayers are being answered. Oh, how very, very careful we must be to not fall for his deceptions, which are increasing in delusive attraction. His deceptions are going to be this powerful: “So closely will the counterfeit resemble the true that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Holy Scriptures.” GC 539 That tells me that we cannot be too careful in testing every little thing when dealing with supernatural experiences.
You will recall how I expressed several times how earnestly I was praying that the Lord would reveal to me the origin of the dreams. I prayed for several signs, such as things I would like the Lord to reveal to you in a dream. None of those signs were fulfilled. My concerns and questions were mounting even while I was becoming more personally involved with your ministry.
While we all have our faults that need to be overcome by the blood of the Lamb, a person claiming to have a divine calling puts themselves under the microscope of character examination. The Bible tells us to test the fruits, so we may know the origin of inspiration. The fruits are the character of the messenger and the results of the message. Therefore, the following observations are not for the purpose of character assassination, but rather to follow the biblical injunction and the Spirit of Prophecy counsel that “By their testimony [the scriptures] every statement and every miracle must be tested.” GC 593
Using the Spirit of Prophecy as a guide, here is what we were looking for in you, since you are claiming to be receiving messages directly from God: “The holy deportment of the minister of Christ should be a rebuke to vain, frothy professors. The love of truth and holiness manifested in your serious, heavenly conversation, will convict others, and lead them to the truth, and those around you will be compelled to say, ‘God is with this man, of a truth.’ ” 1T 434
The quote on your web site tells us that in looking for proof of the genuineness of the dreams, we must take into account the persons who have them, and the circumstances under which they are given. So, that is what we will do now: take into account your character, and under what circumstances you had the dreams, particularly the first three.
I will be recounting many of our shared experiences together, and let you know some of my thoughts and concerns that I was having at that time.
When I first heard about the dreams from an email from Ethel Price back in late August or early September, 2007, I wanted to know more. I was open to the thought that God might have a last day prophet, and if He did, I certainly wanted to know what He had to say to us. So, I did an Internet search, found your phone number and called you. We talked for over an hour, as we did during another conversation a couple of weeks later. Then I found out that you and Becky were going to be close to our area at the end of October. We talked on the phone frequently until you came down to visit, so I felt like I knew you and Becky before we even met.
I enjoyed our conversations as you are a pleasant and personable individual, and very enthusiastic about your dreams. There is a sense of importance that one can gain by associating with one they believe has a direct line to God. This can be very attractive to humanity.
One thing that you mentioned several times is that your were not an “up front” type of person and you did not like to be in the spotlight. It seemed like you were trying to convince me that you were very humble . .
There were several things that made me question the origin of the dreams right from the start. One of them was the fact that you could ask the “angel” anything you wanted in the dreams. It was not like you were really asleep, but that you could have a list of questions that you wanted to ask, and talk to him as if you were awake. The questions that you chose to ask, I remember thinking at the time, were not questions that concerned the people of God as a whole, but more personal questions. I remember you telling me that one of the questions that you asked the angel was that if you should receive tithe, and the angel said yes. That bothered me greatly at the time. Another was about the Bible code. I don’t think any serious Bible student would have even bothered with this question.
I remember sitting around our table Saturday night, October 27 [], with you and Becky talking about the dreams. You were explaining how you could ask the angel any questions you had. Becky and I were talking about how it would be nice to know how God felt about women wearing pants, and coloring their hair, and even plucking their eyebrows. We suggested that you put those on your list. We talked about several other issues, including knowing which people that were having dreams, like Soo, and Pebbles, were of God. Then I read in the dreams that the angel says you are asleep when you are having the dreams. Can a sleeping person decide on questions to ask in his sleep?
Less than one month after my initial contact with you, Ernie, you called me up one morning, and said, “You’d better sit down. I have something very important to tell you.” You then proceeded to tell me that the angel had selected me to edit the dream you just had. I was to edit it, and to email it directly to the web master, without you even seeing the final copy. Before I emailed it, I was to show it to my husband, who was to make any necessary corrections to it according to information that the Lord would show him. You suggested that my husband might have a dream that might add to your dream.
I received by email a rough draft of the SDA Church dream on September 28, 2007. I edited it, as per instructions, and emailed it to my husband, who was out of town on a business trip. He read it and said he didn’t have anything to add. He had received nothing from the Lord. We both thought this was rather strange. I then emailed it to the web master. But, I noticed that the dream that was posted had some minor changes made to my edition. I guess the web master felt at liberty to change some things that even you weren’t supposed to change.
Pride likes to be noticed. The evil angels are good at flattering their victims and making them feel special. Both my husband and myself felt at the time that it was rather unusual that the angel should single us out in this way. You wanted to put our names in the dream, but we both felt uncomfortable with that and insisted that you not do so.
You asked the angel in the dream if my husband had received the same dream. Here is the angel’s answer: “Many are shown and they share. Many are shown and they are afraid to share. Many are shown and they do not recall. Many are shown and they recall after the appointed time. Many are shown through the Father’s Spirit.” This statement from the angel made absolutely no sense to us. Did Brian [Linda’s husband] have a dream that he didn’t remember? We had no clue.
We continued communicating with you, developing a close friendship. While we felt supportive of the dreams, it was not without some reservations. You told me about a forum [an internet site] where they were talking negatively about you and the dreams, and I wrote on the forum in support of the dreams. Actually, I was not totally endorsing the dreams, but mostly appealing to people to be willing to check them out before they discounted the dreams. It seemed to me that some were willing to make a final decision about the dreams without any investigation. I felt that something as huge as a claim to be receiving direct communication from Jesus needs to be put to the test, to see if the claim is valid.
I did some research of my own. First, I asked you if you were involved in a small group, such as a Bible study group or fellowship. You said no. I asked who your close friends were locally, and you said you didn’t have many close friends. I asked where you fellowshipped at church, and you said that you didn’t attend church regularly, because you often just rested at home on Sabbath. Other times you visited around to churches, because the church your membership was at was too far away. You also talked about your speaking appointments, but as it turned out, you had really had few speaking appointments, and two of the major ones turned out to be disasters for you because they were cancelled after you arrived.
I was trying to find others who knew you before the dreams came, from whom I could obtain a character reference. I called your pastor, but he didn’t want to talk about you much, and referred me to your father-in-law. I called that number, and talked with your mother-in-law.
On October 21, 2007, you called me, Ernie, to tell me about a dream you had just had. I talked to both you and Becky. You stated that you were shaking, and seemed quiet emotional. I don’t know what word to use to describe your feelings, but I believe you stated you were scared. You stated that this was the first dream that had a direct prophecy in it, and you expressed the fact that you were afraid that, if it was not fulfilled, that it would prove your dreams to be false. I remember mentioning to Brian [Linda’s husband] afterwards, that it seems like you would certainly want to know if the dreams were false, and this would be a good way to test it! You actually seemed more worried for your reputation than about finding out if the dreams were really from God.
My reaction was that I was happy, knowing that soon I would know for sure if the dreams were from God, and I wouldn’t have to wonder any more! If the fulfillment came true, they were from God. If it didn’t, they were false! Simple as that! I was then given the name of the person who was supposed to connect with you to help the dreams go out faster. I was to be one of the five witnesses who would verify, when this person contacted you, that this was a fulfilled prophecy. And so I waited.
I felt very close to Becky, as she is a very sweet and sincere person. She seemed to have a genuine relationship with Jesus. I remember telling Brian, if Becky was the one receiving the dreams, I would find it a lot easier to believe in them.
Then we met you in person when you came to our home Friday evening, October 26, 2007. We found you to be a very likeable and talkative person, with the conversation totally centered around your dreams. I was really hoping for a deep season of prayer, and some discussion of truth as found in the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, but instead the entire focus was on your dreams. Your prayer was brief and casual, not like someone who had truly encountered Divinity.
Throughout the weekend, every topic that was brought up always was redirected to your dreams. You even shared some dreams with us that were not inspired, and even a bit silly. This got a little wearisome to us. You mentioned several times how you’d like to fly your remote control airplanes on our large property. This seemed so trivial to me.
I asked you about your outreach endeavors. Perhaps, I thought, you were involved in Bible studies, or distributing literature, and so on. You said that you told people whenever you got a chance that you were receiving dreams from God. This did not sound like witnessing at all to me, but rather a way to exalt yourself. This troubled me also.
The concern was expressed by some who met you that day that they did not sense a spirit of humility. I mentioned to Becky on the side that she needed to tell you not to recount how muscular and strong you were as a young man, what a powerful job you had in which you told the executives in hospitals how to spend millions of dollars, how you had a mansion and expensive cars, and so on. What it felt like is that you were trying to impress everyone that you were truly an important person.
Our pastor, who couldn’t be at the meeting we scheduled, asked me to have the spiritual leaders of the church come and evaluate you and your message, to see if we should invite you to come and present a church-wide meeting.
We all listened to you and Becky for over three hours, and had opportunity to ask any questions we wanted. After the meeting, I waited for the reactions of those present. There were a couple of women who were excited, and seemed to believe in the dreams, but neither of these women were invited there as church leaders, but just happened to be there. Brian and I found it very disconcerting that not one of the spiritual church leaders even suggested that we should have you come back to the church for an official presentation, even though they knew that was the original intention. One of the elders was especially concerned, and contacted Pastor Wohlberg, our former pastor, and you know the end of that story.
I will share some of the impressions and concerns of the group that heard you speak to us that Sabbath, October 27, 2007. The deaconess stated that she was not impressed because of your lack of humility. When one of the elders asked questions in a very humble manner, she said that you responded rather defensively, justifying your position, and discounting his questions. She was concerned about the light hearted, almost joking manner in which you talked about heavenly things. But she was mostly concerned when you stated that you accepted tithe. She felt that this was inappropriate.
Also, she had noticed on your web site that you stated that you had made a presentation at Southern University [Southern Adventist University, Collegedale, TN]. Naturally, this would lend credibility to claims to have spoken at an SDA college. You then explained to us how you had this appointment, made the travel arrangements, and arrived at Southern, only to be told upon arrival that your meeting had been cancelled. You told how you met with some officials, and that this was a fulfillment of the dream Go Forth [May 9, 2007] . You did talk to a small group out on the lawn, but this certainly was not an official meeting at Southern University. The deaconess felt that posting the meetings on the web site was a dishonest way to lend credibility to your dreams.
An elder and his wife stated that it seemed like your talk was ego-centric. He didn’t sense the message to be helpful spiritually. He was also uncomfortable about the Southern University announcement, and felt it was deceptive to use as an endorsement. They both felt very uneasy about your presentation. These are just comments that some of those present at the meetings shared with me.
Since I had written in support of the dreams on a forum, many of the people on the forum had given me questions to ask you. There was quite a list of questions that you addressed the next morning on a video tape. These were mostly personal questions regarding your past. HOW ERNIE’S DREAMS GOT STARTED:
THE BEST SINGLE PRESENTATION
Since Spring 2005, Ernie Knoll has had a series of dreams that he claims are inspired by God
On October 27, 2007, Linda Kirk, Ernie’s wife, Becky, and several Adventist friends of Linda’s visited with Ernie. During this interview, he answered a number of their questions, which were taped on video; a copy of which Linda has. This is the best single source of information about Ernie’s early experience that led him into receiving these dreams. Here is Linda Kirk’s write-up on this—taken directly from the video of Ernie’s presentation:
Here are some of the words you spoke, that were recorded on video at my home:
Ernie: ‘Up until last December [], I was, what I call, a nominal Adventist. I didn’t have what I called a close relationship with Jesus that most Seventh-day Adventist should have. Very close to before December 2006 I became a workaholic where I was working six days a week. I was traveling Sunday through Friday, come home Friday evening, get ready for Sabbath, and you (Becky) and I and our daughter would enjoy Sabbath together, and then I’d get up again and get ready to go. I found that I was putting work before God….”
[Description of your health condition.] “I wasn’t observing the health message at all….”
[[About the first two dreams ]] “That was spring of 2005. The first two dreams I had, we didn’t really think anything about it. I shared them with you (Becky) and some other close friends, and we really never thought anything about it. We just thought these were really interesting dreams.”
[[Special note:The first dream, “At the Table,” dated spring 2005 shows Ernie sitting at a long table “I recognize family members. We talk and laugh.” He talks to his guardian angel, and then wakes up.
In his second dream, “The White Blanket” also dated “spring 2005,” Ernie climbs with some others to a cave in the mountains, when the front of the cave drops off into a wall. Then a horrible creature, like a panther, wants to jump on him. But a white blanket protecting Ernie knocks the black panther into the valley below. Then Ernie awakens.]]
[Describing the evening of December 9, 2006] “Later, after the pain went away, you helped me get in bed, and that’s when you were talking to me, and I knew that was when I was going to die that night. I knew that this had to be it. I told you good night but I was actually saying good bye. But, I should also back up, and share, of course I had this disease, I was very sick, but I should also share that up until this point, my walk with God had changed. Before I got sick, I was a nominal Adventist. After I got sick, we lost everything, we lost our house, all of our personal belongings, the fine cars that we had, all of our earthly treasures that we think about now, we lost them all because I could not support our family. And so we lost all that, and I took all that out on God and at first started off asking Him why this was happening, and then over the course of two years [[2004-2006]] I started blaming Him for everything that was happening.
“And on December 9th [], I remember going to sleep that night asking God to take my life, that I was unhappy, and I know that He says that He loves me but I did not feel loved. And I begged Him and I had been begging Him to please come down and talk to me like He does the other prophets and the other people in the Bible. But I never felt like He would ever come down. I didn’t feel like there was any love, no love. Actually I felt hate, I felt like God hated me. And I could not figure out why He would hate me. What had I done to do this? Well, that night, December 9, I said good night to you (Becky), I was also saying good-bye and I went to sleep after many hours of prayer.”
[Becky talks: “Can you share with us what you were praying that night?]
Ernie: “That night I was asking God, bluntly, to end my life. I was asking Him just to stop it, that I did not feel the love that I thought a person would feel, and of course you can tell that it is hard for me to relate this, because this is not a story or something you’d watch on TV or some story you’d read out of a book. This was my real life; this is what I’ve experienced. But that night I went to sleep, and the next morning I woke up.Sunday morning I woke up and I had just finished having this tremendous dream…”
“I have to tell you, at this point in my life, before the dream, I had read about Jesus, I had spoken about Jesus, I had sung songs about Jesus, I had prayed to Jesus. But it wasn’t until this time that I really knew who Jesus was…”
[[Special note: The dream that Ernie had that night when he hated God, wanted Him to kill him—and that night verbally curse Him, according to statements he made elsewhere—was the third dream listed on his website: “A View of Heaven and a Message for His People,” dated the early morning of December 10 2006. In it, sees a temple, and shortly thereafter is standing with other people; each person viewing his own individual video instruction, but all seeing them on the same immense screen in front of them. Jesus is instructing each one separately but simultaneously. Later in the dream, Ernie sees Jesus with people at a distance. “Jesus smiles and laughs quite often” with them, and then walks over to Ernie and they talk for a period of time. Jesus tells him to tell the people to not worry about anything for He is coming soon.]]
[[Describing the last part of the dream]] Ernie: “When I came in [from the sky] to land, I had seen Jesus way up to the left, and when I came in to land, my intention was to return to the temple where I had been before when the dream first started, but Jesus walked down and he approached me and I knew it was Jesus, I automatically knew it was Jesus, but I also noticed as he walked toward me I noticed that angels would bow and acknowledge him as the Creator of the universe. But Jesus walked down and even till this point in the dream, I really didn’t know who he really was but after he came down, the two of us, just Jesus and I, we started walking and of course I didn’t have a watch, I don’t know how long it was for, but I’ve guesstimated that Jesus and I walked and we talked for half an hour. It could have been longer. It could have been an hour. I kind of like to think it was an eternity.
“But Jesus and I walked and we talked, and we discussed many things I’d seen, the things in the temple, the animals I saw, the birds I saw flying, the angels, the different types of people, the different heights of the people, the wall of the city, we talked about many, many different things, but as I would walk and talk with Him, the same Jesus I had talked about, sang songs about, the same Jesus I had prayed to, I don’t know how to put it, but I developed a love unlike any love that I could ever tell . . There’s a love that we cannot describe, there’s no words, except just to say of the love of the love of the love.”
[Becky: “So that was the time of his true conversion, when he saw the love of Jesus in his eyes.”]
From your own testimony, Ernie, the biggest red flag that has been raised is regarding your conversion experience. You shared with us how you were a “pew warmer” for those 25 years that you were an Elder, and didn’t have a close relationship with Jesus. Then, you got sick, lost your job, and lost everything. You began questioning God, then you started blaming God for allowing you to become sick, and cause you to lose your job, and to be humbled to being a person of no importance, even to having to vacuum your mother-in-law’s living room.
When you went to bed on the night of December 9, 2006, you were discouraged, angry at God, and wanting to die. You challenged God to prove that he loved you, by coming down and talking to you like He did the other prophets.
We are warned in God’s Word: “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;” Hebrews 12:15
“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.” Eph 4:26,27
In the above text, the word “place” in the Greek means opportunity, power, occasion for action. According to your own testimony, you were in a miserable frame of mind that night. You had not spent significant time in God’s Word, and admitted you didn’t know Christ. Your prayers were full of bitterness, blame and doubt. You disbelieved the very Word of God, which tells us beyond question of God’s love for us. You were unhappy, discontented, discouraged, begging God to let you die. It was in this frame of mind that you went to sleep. Ernie, I believe your ungodly state of mind gave place to the devil, giving him opportunity, power and occasion for action. You were also begging for a supernatural experience. And you received one, did you not?
It seems apparent that this is what opened the door to a satanic delusion. You were not spiritually prepared to be called to be a holy messenger of God’s pure truth to His people. You were, instead, setting the scene for an encounter with demons.
Even the dream itself posed major concerns. How could God take one who was in a rebellious, doubting frame of mind and exalt him to the height few humans have ever experienced, to have direct communication with Jesus? And when you saw Jesus, and talked with Him, what was your experience then? I would have thought, according to many the biblical accounts of holy prophets who encountered divine or angelic beings, that you would have fallen on your face, in acknowledgement of great unworthiness, especially in the light of your frame of mind when you fell asleep. I would have thought that you would have wept and bemoaned your lack of faith, your blatant challenge to God, your prior wasted life in denying the power of God. A genuine conversion would have included all of this. Instead, you talked about the material aspects of heaven. That seems very shallow and superficial.
And, as I questioned you further about your conversion, you stated that you woke up converted, in love with Jesus. Please tell me, how does one become converted in his sleep? This is an absolute impossibility! [[And without having confessed or forsaken sin.]]
Ernie, I ask you to seriously search your heart regarding these things I am sharing with you. I care about you, and about your eternal salvation. Jesus does love you! He has loved you your whole life. He was calling you to surrender your heart to Him even when you lost your job, lost your possessions, and became seriously ill. He wanted you to turn to Him of your own free will, because of your recognition of your sinfulness and deep need of Him. We struggle with feelings of inadequacy because of self. When we are dead to self, we no longer have to deal with insecurity and problems with ego. Jesus knew of your struggle with your lack of self-worth, and He wanted you to know that, like all of us, you are special only as you are abiding in Him, because He alone is worthy!
Another concern was the supernatural beings that kept appearing to you, that you could see only out of the corner of you eye, as you were being pressured to tell the dream during the two weeks following the dream. That’s downright spooky. That sounds like the works of the angels of darkness, not of pure, holy, heavenly beings.
Here is how you described it: “For two weeks I did not tell the next part of the dream. For two weeks I did not share the most important part of this dream. For two weeks I kept it secret, but for two weeks I would, still knowing that I was sitting at home, I wasn’t going out anywhere, I would all of the sudden see things walk around out of the corner of my eye, and I’d look and there wasn’t anybody there. But at the same time I would hear a voice say, ‘You need to share the end of the dream.’ I’d go to sleep at night, and I’d fall asleep, only to be wakened up later, and I’d hear a voice say, ‘You need to share the rest of the dream.’ This went on for two weeks…”
There were a few other issues that were uncovered that made me continue to question your calling. One of these was the fact that you and Becky revealed to me Sunday morning after our meeting that you had become discouraged with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and had left it for a while, and joined the Seventh-day Adventist Reform movement. You were involved with them for several years, and then found that they had problems too, so you came back to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. When you state on your web site that: “I am a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian of over 50 years, an ordained elder for over 25 years and have served as a lay pastor” that gives the impression of a faithful, godly, loyal Seventh-day Adventist, does it not? When the truth is known of your lack of conversion, failure to follow the health reform, and your actually leaving the church for a while, this places the matter in an entirely different light.
Again we will consider the quote on your web site that you have selected for giving evidence of the divine origin of the dreams:
“Dreams from the Lord are classed in the word of God with visions and are as truly the fruits of the spirit of prophecy as visions. Such dreams, taking into the account the persons who have them and the circumstances under which they are given, contain their own proofs of their genuineness.” 1T 569-570
Throughout this letter, we have been taking into account the person who had them, and the circumstances under which they are given. This character examination is required for testing the dreams.
Another fact that surfaced unexpectedly was that you were actually fired from the job that you had before December 2006 [[he had been working in hospital administration]], and it was explained that you were confrontational and not able to get along personally with your co-workers and associates. Your testimony that you gave at our home was stated in such a way as to lead one to believe that it was your ill health that caused your loss of employment. Again, this brings up issues of integrity.
Ernie, I have another question. According to your own testimony, on December 9, 2006, you were a pew-warming, workaholic, unconverted Laodicean. If you look at the definition of the word hypocrite, it also seems to apply. (definition of a hypocrite is: “a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion; a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings.”) You were a church elder, and yet you stated that you did not know Jesus.
So, in this condition, you had two dreams in the spring of 2005. You said that you “thought nothing of them” other than that they were interesting. They obviously made little impact on your lifestyle or spiritual commitment. Then, you start having more dreams, had a “conversion” experience in your sleep, and put up a web site. Now, these first two dreams from 2005 are elevated right along with your other dreams to become God’s last day message for His people, part of the message we are commanded to believe as we bow before the being professing to be Jesus who gave them? How do you explain that?
All of these things continued to add up, along with the concerns in the dreams themselves. Right at the beginning, we asked you if you had counseled with godly men regarding the source of these dreams, and if you were willing to be placed under close scrutiny. You had the attitude that, since these dreams were from God Himself, you didn’t need to ask anyone permission, or to seek anyone’s counsel. This is not how God operates in His church. He is the head, we are all part of the body. Not one part is to be exalted to the point of not needing to be examined, and confirmed by the rest of the body. The fact that so few significant Bible students accepted the dreams was another major cause for concern. [[End of Linda Kirk questioning of Ernie, written May 28, 2008.]]
Linda then mentions the strong, addictive quality she earlier experienced—in being more important to keep checking for Ernie’s latest dream, instead of opening and reading the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. —Both Ernie and his followers were being captivated by this spirit! She stated it in these words:
“I decided to stop checking the dreams. Amazingly, this was a difficult decision for me, and required a struggle. As I mentioned, the addictive power of the dreams is strong. Even with all my doubts and concerns, I still had been in the habit of checking the web site almost daily . . The more I turned away from the dreams, the more powerfully the Lord convicted me that these dreams were not from Him. It was almost as if a light came on, and I could see now! I began processing all the information I had, and the truth came out clearly that I had been ensnared in a delusion.”
Spring 2005—Ernie has two unimportant dreams (“At the Table,” “The White Blanket”) which, at the time, he considered of little value. But later declares that they too must be accepted by the faithful in order for them to be accepted by God.
December 9, 2006—Up until this time, Ernie says, he was hardly a Christian at all. On this night, his six months of blaming God for everything have come to a head. He expresses hatred for God and wants Him to kill him that night,—or give him a prophetic dream so he can be important again.
December 10, 2006—At some time after midnight, Ernie receives a remarkable dream (“A View of Heaven and a Message for His People”) of entering a temple in heaven, then flying overhead and looking down at people in the New Jerusalem, then alighting, he sees Jesus “smiling and laughing frequently” with people in the distance. Then Jesus walks over to him and they talk together for a period of time, and—without any repentance, confession, or forsaking sins—Jesus assures Earnie of His love for him.
August 14, 2007—On this date, Linda relates that Ernie issued a prophecy that appeared to indicate that Doug Batchelor of Amazing Facts would, at some point, accept his dreams. But by April 23, 2008, Batchelor’s office secretary told Linda that Batchelor totally refuses to meet with Ernie, in spite of Ernie’s requests that he do so. So the prediction failed.
October 21, 2007—Ernie phoned Linda because he was deeply worried about a prediction the angel had just made, which Ernie printed. It stated that Shawn Boostra of It Is Written would accept the dreams. Ernie was fearful that the prediction would not come true and he, Ernie, would be judged a false prophet.
October 27, 2007—The extended question and answer session with Ernie (described above) occurred.
April 2008—Linda learned that, in response to questions by many, Shawn dictated a statement that he definitely had not accepted Ernie’s dreams as genuine. A second prediction had failed.
April 4-14, 2008—Eugene Prewitt wrote a lengthy letter, stating his position that Ernie’s dreams are not true, and actually from Satan. It was then posted on notaprophet.org (Curtis Farnham’s website).
May 18, 2008—Linda Kirk’s extensive letter (much of which has been quoted earlier in this report) was written, and then posted on notaprophet.org.
July 15, 2009—The 4HisPeople.com board (the initial sponsors of Ernie’s dreams), learned of two major lies that Ernie told; the first over an extended period of time. He had claimed that a woman, named “Candace” had been writing and send out letters encouraging people to accept Ernie’s ministry,—which she did not exist, and Ernie wrote those letters. The second, about a fictitious group called “The Great Commision Council.”
July 17, 2009—“Notice from Ernie: We know this will come as a shock, but we have come to believe that the dreams are not of God. Even though there was truth in them, there was also error. We believe that Candace may have been an evil angel. I also received personal dreams that were obviously not from God. We will be putting a notice on our website soon. Our future meetings have been cancelled. ... Thank you.
“Satan knows his time is short and is working to deceive even the very elect. We are so sorry and pray that the Lord will guide us into all truth.
“Love & prayers
“Ernie & Becky” (4HisPeople.org)
July 17, 2009— “07/17/2009 - “Important Update: Ernie has concluded that he has been receiving some demonic input along with various godly input regarding the dreams, and he is now reconsidering his ministry and what to do with it. —He says that the person of ‘Candace’ who was giving Ernie counsel outside of the dreams may have been a demonic spirit, and recently Ernie was receiving definite personal messages that he now knows were not of God. In the coming weeks after I have talked with certain people who work with Ernie and his ministry, I will then decide whether to leave this site up or take it down. The dreams themselves may still be 100% of the Lord, this is being addressed by Ernie and his co-workers at this present time. Jim Pinkoski. July 17, 2009.” (4HisPeople.com; JimPinkoski.com)
July 19, 2009—Ernie says the following dream was given to him “two days after” the 4HisPeople board closed that ministry. The board learned about his deceit on July 15, Ernie admitted to having received messages “from an evil angel” on the 17th, And on the 21st, he admitted on a phone call, only when confronted with the evidence, that “Candace” and the “Great Commission Council” were both total fabrications. The date Ernie gives for the following dream is the 19th. In the following dream, notice that Herald does not ask for any repentance, change of heart, or putting away of sin; only for Ernie to “stand on the wood.” Ernie is encouraged by the choir with their open arms toward him, and by the words of Herald that he is fully accepted by God.“What God Can Do, July 19, 2009, By Ernie Knoll. (This encouraging dream was given to me two days after the Board was shutting down the 4 His People Ministry. I had been praying asking for repentance and for direction as to my life.) “. . Then the light becomes even brighter and I see many more singing and the whole stage is filled with more of the singers. They continue singing: It is no secret what God can do. What He’s done for others, He will do for you. “Then I see all these singers are angels. I watch as these angels become a countless number and their wings come out and spread wide open. Everything is now very bright and they all open their arms. They continue singing: With arms wide open He welcomes you. For it is no secret what God can do. “I now see the Herald comes from the right side and stands in front of me. I see him smile like I have before and calling me by my heavenly name he says, ‘You were told to stand on the wood as the wood is the truth. Jesus is the wood. He is the only way and will light your path, but you need to use that lighted path. You must walk on it. All can be easily deceived. All will be, but each must stay on the path that Jesus has given you. Know that He loves and forgives you. Do not worry about what others say and demand as Jesus knows your heart. The Herald places both of his hands on my shoulders and says again, “Jesus is the wood. He is the Truth and He is the Light. Stay on that path.’ ” (4HisPeople.org)
July 21, 2009—In a phone call to two 4HisPeople Ministry board members, at 2:43 p.m. Ernie admitted that “Candace” was a lie. At that time, also through e-mail searches, they also discovered that he had also written everything about a “Great Commission Counsel”. This was another total fabrication by Ernie.
It started out as a purported e-mail testimony of a prostitute named Candace who said she had been picked up in a car by an angel and told to seek out Ernie Knoll, though she had no prior connection to him or our church. More emails followed,—until two of the 4HisPeople board traced Ernie’s email accounts—and learned that all the “Candace” letters originated with Him.But there was also a second hoax at about the same time, which Ernie also admitted when confronted with the evidence that he was the author: An e-mail purporting to be from a panel of Adventist scholars and church leaders calling themselves the the Great Commission Council (the individual members wanting to remain incognito because some worked for the church) who had met in a secret online forum to study Ernie’s dreams. The council, Ernie’s website said, went so far as to hire a private investigator to find ex-prostitute Candace, who, when without notice, council representatives came to her door, was able to welcome them by name because her angel had told her that they were coming. The council had largely accepted Ernie’s dreams as from God—to the point of suggesting that God was causing the ministry of one of Ernie’s critics to go broke because of his refusal to accept the dreams as from God! The 4HisPeople board traced those emails to Ernie as the source also.
July 22, 2009—On this date, Ernie sent the following email to several friends:
“From: Ernie and Becky Knoll
“Sent: Wednesday, July 22, 2009 11:30 AM
“Subject: Public confession
“By now you may have heard or read that Candace was a hoax. I created “her” to try to deter some of the negative things that people were saying about the ministry and it went downhill from there. (Becky did not learn about it until a couple days ago.) The dreams were also not from God. I want to say I am truly sorry and want to ask for forgiveness. Becky wants to ask for your forgiveness as well that she was deceived. We have repented of our sins and pray that healing will come to you and all those we have affected.
“If you have sent donations to us, we plan to pay it back if and when we are able. In His mercy and gracious love, Ernie and Becky
“P.S. We hope to get a public confession up on the 4 His People website very soon. (4HisPeople.org)
August 2, 2009—On this date, Ernie Knoll began a new ministry, called “For My People” (ForMyPeople.org). Therefore, by this date, Ernie definitely decided to continue on with his spirit guides. (4HisPeople.com)So within two weeks after being confronted with evidence of his two fabrications, being fired from the 4HisPeople Ministry, and admitting it to his followers, as well as the fact that evil angels have been speaking to him;—Ernie puts all that behind him, and starts in again, this time with a new ministry name: ForMyPeople.org.
August 5, 2009— “Ministry Update: From Ernie Knoll. Some have asked about the fact that “Candace” is mentioned in the dream, “A Great Work” as follows [quoting from that dream]:
“ ‘It is the Herald. He comes up to me and I tell him that I have missed him and that it has been a while. He says that they (the angels) have been busy with much preparation to be done. I ask if he was the one that spoke to the lady named Candace (testimony on Divine Interventions of the 4hispeople web site). He answers no, but that many angels are preparing many individuals for the King’s return and that he has been sent to show me something very important.’ ”
“[Referring to himself in the third person] Ernie knows that he was asking that of the Herald in hopes that he could get help in ending the “Candace” deception. The answer the angel gave was correct. He was not the “Candace’s” Herald because there was no “Candace.” Also the Herald and other angels truly are working with many individuals today as in the past. We can be assured that they will work in a mightier way as this earth’s history finishes. We believe the Herald did not come right out and state that “Candace” was made up because he was waiting for Ernie to confess on his own . .
“After taking time to pray, study, and assess the dreams, we have come to the conclusion that they are still truly from God for His people. If you need a copy of the dreams, please send us an email with your request . .
“Even though most of our Board has forsaken us, we are not surprised. About two years ago, Ernie had a dream (which was shared with some of the board members) where he saw Becky and the Board walking away from the ministry. That is one reason why Ernie felt so alone. Becky has come back to believe in the dreams and we pray the same for the Board as well as others . .
“We are in the process of making a new ministry web site ourselves. It will be called (formypeople.org). However, we will not be a tax-exempt organization. (4HisPeople.org)
[Without the tax-exampt status, Ernie need not give any accounting to anyone as to how he uses the money he receives.]
July 22, 2009—On this date, Steve Wohlberg posted the following on NotaProphet.org:
“Today (July 22, 2009) I learned that the 4 His People Board has finally determined that the dreams of Ernie Knoll have originated from Satan, and not from Jesus Christ. This is an answer to prayer! . .
“Since Spring 2005, Ernie Knoll has had a series of dreams that he claims are inspired by God. On the surface, these dreams sound true and in harmony with God’s true prophets. Many have been convinced that Ernie Knoll’s dreams are from God . .
“The ‘Herald’ messenger in Ernie’s dreams bears a striking resemblance to an evil angel, or perhaps Satan himself, clothed as an “angel of light” (2 Cor 11:14).
“As you will see from the articles posted on this wesite, Ernie Knoll has admitted that he is not a very good Bible student. His writings portray that the way a Christian should recognize Truth is by visual cues, dreams, and impressions, not by the first criteria that has always been urged by God’s true prophets: a diligent study of the Bible and obedience to God’s Word. In fact, according to our sources, Ernie Knoll had had a very nominal relationship with God for decades before his first dream. And on the very night when his first dream occurred, he was cursing God and wishing to die. Furthermore, he has made at least two prophecies that have not come true.” (Posted on the website, NotaProphet.org.)
July 31, 2009—On this date, Ernie had another dream, entitled “A Friend so Precious”:
“In my dream, I am struggling to climb a path going up the side of a mountain. The path is littered with rocks of different shapes and sizes. Some are round, some are flat and some are very sharp on the edges. We are walking carefully since the rocks are loose and many are laid on top of each other.
“Each step must be very carefully taken. The path we are on is lit from the sunshine but yet to the left and right of the path it is dark. Becky is behind me and behind her are a lot of other people. We are all carrying a large white box. Each person’s box weighed what they could carry. On each of the six sides of the box is different writing as follows: ‘Repent and sin no more,’ ‘Hold to your faith,’ ‘Stay on the path,’ ‘Share the messages,’ ‘Obey,’ and on the top it said, ‘Stand on the truth.’ As we are all struggling to climb up the path we are all singing the song, ‘I Have a Friend So Precious.’ ” (4HisPeople.com)
August 5, 2009—On this date, a person named Gary, who knows Ernie, wrote the following note:
“At the time I became acquainted with them [Ernie and Becky] in late January 2008, I studied their dreams to see if they were truth . . He [Ernie] was impressed to create a testimony of someone’s conversion due to the dreams. He logged into the forum and posted the testimony of “Candace.” Ernie noticed as he created the story that the words flowed easily. So he reasoned that it must have been inspired by God and that it was like a parable . . After some time, Ernie was again reading a forum and saw the things that people were stating about him as well as the messages. Then many of the detractors published their beliefs about the dreams. This is when Ernie was “inspired” to create the Great Commission Council.” (NotaProphet.org)
August 6, 2009—“We have learned this morning that Ernie Knoll and his wife have changed their minds again. They once again believe the dreams really are from God. A letter from them is circulating which explains their position, shares additional dreams, and indicates that they plan to continue their ministry in an alternate form (now that 4 His People has rejected them.) We are highly disappointed in this latest turn. Our position at NotAProphet.org remains the same: the dreams are not from God.” (Curtis Farnham, in his website, NotaProphet.org)
August 6, 2009—“Update, August 6, 2009: Now he has again changed his mind and decided to keep pretending that his dreams are real and, unbelievably, blames those who were opposed to his dreams all along for forcing him to lie and create the false emails from ‘candace’ and the ‘Great Commission Council.’ Below are excerpts from his recanting of his recanting:
“He logged into the forum and posted the testimony of ‘Candace.’ Ernie noticed as he created the story that ‘the words flowed easily.’ ...
“Then many of the detractors published their beliefs about the dreams. This is when Ernie was ‘inspired’ to create the Great Commission Council. ...
“We have learned of at least three reasons for Ernie being deceived and deceiving.
“First ‘it was because of the opposition on the forums that caused him to get discouraged.’ ...
“Secondly, it was ‘a lack of faith that God would take care of His ministry’ and last of all, because of ‘a low self-esteem.’
“Yes, you read that correctly...he actually blames the Christians who stood opposed to his false dreams for forcing him to lie and deceive others.” (OurSword.Blogspot.com)
August 2009—The following August 2009 disfellowshipping was reported on September 5:
“Please note that it has been verified that the Brownsville [Calif.] Seventh-day Adventist church, where Ernie & Becky held their membership, has voted to disfellowship Ernie Knoll. His wife, Becky, has withdrawn her membership. They are no longer members of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Sad, but absolutely necessary.” (SDA4Life, reported September 5, 2009; the approximate date of the disfellowshipping is given in the January 31, 2013 entry, later in this report)
September 1, 2009—Note from David:
“My family and I attended a meeting where Ernie spoke, and Candace was mentioned as if she was some sort of liaison for heaven. It seemed a lot of decisions were made by her and many instructions were given through her. I found this odd and unscriptual.
“Then the undergarment topic surfaced. The angel told Candace that God loves the form of the woman, and that He wanted it to be shown. Bras were chains and they needed to be removed. Tight see-through tops were to be worn, and the angel told Candace that the tighter the top the more faith you have. The women were instructed to wear this around non-Adventist, because a stranger would have no reason to stop you and open conversation; church members would more than likely stare. This was presented to us all as the Word of God by the angel through Candace.
“Lies, lies, and more lies. I believe that Satan was making his move to destroy souls. The Lord prevented honest, sincere, truth believing, praying people from being further deceived. Ernie lied and it was evident that Candace (the lying spirit) had taken him over.
“The new van they traveled in was secured by testimony from Candace via email to the Toyota dealership. He had become accustomed to securing favor, items and whatever else he could get through this artful deception. The sky was the limit. He also asked us to send out contributions directly to him; not the ministry.
[Later in this present report, we will discover that, using the loving donations sent in “to ensure that they were in the 144,000,” the money had been used for a fully loaded 2007 Monaco RV Motorhome (valued at approximately $230,000) , a brand new 2011 Hyundai Genesis (starting at $34,200), and a brand new 2012 Honda Fit (under $20,000).]
“Then, Ernie was exposed—the second time when his board traced the Candace-sent emails back to him.
“Linda Kirk’s loving testimony was the first sound of the trumpet that signaled error and was vital, but Ernie was then discredited by another hoax—the [so-called] Great Commission Council. We are instructed by the word of God to test the spirits (1John 4:1), not dodge them. Truth can stand up to any investigation, but Ernie failed the exam because he was not telling the truth. His life was unsanctified and yet he was honored of God and shown the wonders of heaven? God showed His servant about this type of setup . . Hence, I believe the dreams were fabricated.”
September 22, 2009—“Notice from 4HisPeople Board:
“The 4 His People Ministry Board learned of some very disturbing information the week of July 15. This information has led us to believe that though the dreams appear to be of a supernatural source, we now believe that this source was of Satan. Along with the meetings being cancelled and no future meetings authorized by the board, please know that Ernie and Becky Knoll are suspended from any activity related to the 4 His People Ministry. Please cease contributing funds to this ministry.
“For those of you who read the testimony and/or received emails from someone going by the name of “Candace”, we were able to determine through tracking email IP information, that Ernie Knoll is “Candace”. When pressed, he admitted to this on July 21 at 2:43 pm in a phone call to two ministry board members. We have also determined that the “Great Commission Counsel” is also Ernie Knoll.
“We urge everyone who has a “dream book” to throw it away, as we now understand that there are mind control elements in it.” (Posted on OurSword.Blogspot.com; also on 4HisPeople.org).
March 10, 2010—Distressed by the fact that Ernie Knoll was still continuing on with his false messages, purportely from God, the Board of 4HisPeople Ministry issued yet another statement:
“Wednesday, March 10, 2010—False Prophet Ernie Knoll Admits He Was Lying
“ The Board of Trustees for this false prophet’s website [4HisPeople.Org] caught him red-handed sending fraudulent messages while posing as various alter-egos and they confronted him about it. He admitted that he had been purposely deceiving everyone and decided to finally stop the charade.
“A few days later he changed his mind and tried to rationalize his deception and is once again claiming to be a prophet.
“We sincerely apologize to all who have read and believed these messages. We pray that those whose lives have been affected, including those of us on this ministry team and our families, will find closure. Thankfully, we have a loving Savior in Jesus Christ who is willing to forgive all who come to Him with sincere repentance . . While we cannot trust in man’s opinions, we can trust Jesus. Always look to Jesus for light and strength. May He find us ready, when He returns. 4 His People Ministry Board.” (Posted on OurSword.Blogspot.com)
Ernie has publicly stated that he only posts dreams of general interest on his website, but not the personal ones to him. Some of the personal dreams from “Herald” have erotic significance. Satan knows that if he can lure individuals in a fascinating love for immoral things, then he will have them solidly in his net. They become all the more useful, because they are less likely to escape.
Ernie’s angel, “Herald” (who he later revealed is supposedly none other than “Gabriel, the highest angel in heaven”) has been encouraging him to enjoy the thrill of walking around privately partly or totally naked.
You will recall that a hint of this strange liking surfaced at a meeting in September 2009, where some information was given by Ernie. Here is that significant part again:
“Then the undergarment topic surfaced. The angel told Candace that God loves the form of the woman, and that He wanted it to be shown. Bras were chains and they needed to be removed. Tight see-through tops were to be worn, and the angel told Candace that the tighter the top the more faith you have. The women were instructed to wear this around non-Adventist, because a stranger would have no reason to stop you and open conversation; church members would more than likely stare. This was presented to us all as the Word of God by the angel through Candace. (September 1, 2009, quoted earlier)
When we sweep away the “Candace” fabrication, we find that it is Ernie’s special spirit guide who is behind what is taking place in the thinking of Ernie, the privacy of his home, and his weeklong stays in his $230,00 Monaco RV Motorhome at very unusual vacation spots.
Two women who separately attended Ernie’s meetings in the summer of 2012, and, at his request, had private conversations with him,—afterward told others what he had told them. Eventually the news got out, and you will find their testimonies in the following statement:
January 31, 2013—“WARNING: The Hidden Truth about Ernie Knoll - January 31, 2013.
If you have ever heard the name Ernie Knoll, head of For My People Ministry, then you need to read the following information. What you are about to read is shocking and disturbing for those of us who are wanting to purify our lives in these last days. Staying faithful to the principles of God’s Word and the Spirit of Prophecy must be our focus and goal.
“People who claim to be prophets and then take contributions from people, must be kept to a high standard of behavior and actions.
“People’s personal lives are indeed their own and shouldn’t be a public issue, except when they are publicly promoting a perverted lifestyle (especially as part of God-sent dreams). So the following information is presented to educate the public of severe problems hidden behind the scenes of Ernie and Becky Knoll’s ministry. It is taken from three eyewitnesses who have experienced firsthand the ungodly ideas of Ernie Knoll.
“This presentation is not designed to analyze the dreams themselves. Others have already done that, showing where Ernie’s dreams have not come true or been contradicted by his later dreams. This present document also does not try to go through the principles of inspiration to see if Ernie meets this standard. This will solely focus on the behind the scenes problems that most of us could never know about otherwise. Ernie Knoll is not even a regular Seventh-day Adventist, since he was removed from membership (for apostasy) from the Brownsville, CA church in August, 2009 for the events that are described near the end of this document.
“Quote from: SDA4Life on September 5, 2009, 2:15:00 a.m.: “Please note that it has been verified that the Brownsville [Calif.] Seventh-day Adventist church, where Ernie & Becky held their membership, has voted to disfellowship Ernie Knoll. His wife, Becky, has withdrawn her membership. They are no longer members of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Sad, but absolutely necessary.”
“Ernie Knoll reaches many people with his website, his books, and by his meetings. If you know someone who could have been exposed to Ernie Knoll, please forward this document to them. Post it on Facebook, copy it onto your blog, print hard copies and pass it out to the members of your church. Anything that gets the word out quickly and widely will be helpful. Trusting people need to have the truth revealed and only you can get this information to them.
“Ernie Knoll has a history of publicly condemning anyone who criticizes his work. He will identify these people as lost and doomed to hellfire. He graphically describes the agony of these condemned people. (Can anyone remember Ellen White receiving visions of this nature?) Due to his confirmed pattern of vindictiveness, the eyewitnesses in this report have chosen to remain anonymous. This will be viewed by some as problematic, but consider what follows and perhaps you will understand why they have chosen it.
The first testimony comes from a young single mother who we will call Lynn. The following is in her own words.
On June 2nd, 2012, Ernie and Becky Knoll were in Yucaipa, California on a speaking engagement about their dreams. This was their first stop of many on their cross country tours. Ernie and Becky shared their dreams that afternoon. Then they said if any one has any questions or comments, please share. I raised my hand to speak. I made it quite clear that I never heard of them until December of 2011, when someone shared with me a book about his dreams.
I shared with everyone at the meeting that I had dreams in June of 2011. (This was before I knew of Ernie’s dreams.) My first dream was about not being able to purchase my food or anything else since I refused to accept the Sunday law. So the law locked me out of the system. Then my second dream was about being in a concentration camp with many people. I could feel the emotions of people around me. Some were scared, in distress, very hungry. At this point in my dream I was looking down at these people, watching them.
As soon as I said that, Becky goes behind the curtain on the stage. Then she comes back crying and whispers to Ernie. Then Ernie says aloud that they think I’m the person they have been looking for the past year and a half to two years. He said that he has had a recurring dream in which he sees two women, a blond and a brunette, but cannot see their faces.
He says, “You are in the medical field, aren’t you? I said, “Yes I am. Then he says, “You are not married, right? I said, “That is correct, I’m not. Then he said, “You were in the military, weren’t you? I again said, “Yes.”
Everything he asked me was correct. Then Becky really starts to cry even more. Then Ernie exclaims, “We have been looking for you for the past two years! You will play a big part in the last days, and you are one of the 144,000. This was hard for me to believe. Ernie asked if I could stay around afterwards so he and Becky could talk to me. I agreed.
After the meetings, Ernie and I went alone to the top of the auditorium and he shared more of his dreams and about me being in the dream and what my role is to be. Since I have dark hair, he said I must be the brunette from his dreams. He says that I will learn how to fly, that in the dreams he teaches me how to fly. (Sounded to me like supernatural powers, not from God.) He says the people in the concentration camp will be stripped naked in the camp. He says that we will fly in naked as well, to encourage them with scripture and to feed them. He said that we will have to be naked so that we can blend in with the prisoners so that the guards won’t spot us. (Right then and there I was thinking this is crazy stuff that I’m hearing.) Then Ernie tells me that I have to start practicing to become a nudist now. That I needed to start wearing skimpy camisole tops, see-through preferably, with no bra. And eventually I needed to start wearing short miniskirts with no underwear out in public. (As he told me all of this, I was thinking that this sounded like a hooker to me. All of this is totally against my morals.)
Then he says that since I will be working closely with them, I will need to move to be where their home and office is. Then he tells me that they work in the nude at home. They hardly wear clothes, he says. Even when the UPS man comes to the door, he or Becky will answer the door naked. He also said that no hair is to appear on our private parts, that we have to be clean-shaven, baring all. His reason was that God wants us to be clean with our hygiene. He shared with me that they have been going to a few nudist camps in the past two years looking for the two women in his recurring dreams. Now that he had found me, he said that they were going to a nudist camp in Corona, California called Glen Eden Nudist Resort, not too far from this speaking engagement. The next day was Sunday, and they wanted me to attend the nudist resort the whole week with them. I told them, “I can’t. I have to work and I can’t take time off on short notice. (Anyway, I wouldn’t have gone even if I could.)
Ernie and I went to where Becky was and continued talking. He commented how great that Becky and I will be working closely together and will be like sisters. He asked me if I have any children and I said yes. He asked how many and how old? I told him I have one son, 19 years old. Ernie said, “Oh, he’s old enough to be able to take care of himself.”
Then Becky mentioned how she hates wearing clothes, and to wear a bra and panties is so disgusting to her now. She said she couldn’t wait to take them off as soon as she got back to their charter bus RV.
Ernie mentioned that in one part of his dream there is a man who is injured by the guards for witnessing in the concentration camp. The guards broke his legs and smashed his face and broke his bones. Ernie said that as we are ministering in the camp naked, Becky touches the broken man’s face and his face is healed. Then she strokes his legs and inner thighs to heal the man’s broken bones. All of this seemed so strange to me.
They wanted me to go with them on Sunday morning (the next day) for breakfast. They wanted to talk more and then take me to see the nudist camp. They hoped I would come to the nudist resort during the week after I got off work each day. They planned to stay a week there before going to their next speaking engagement. They asked me to spend the night with them and then go with them directly to breakfast. I told them, “No, I’ll just go home and come back tomorrow.” Well, Ernie Knoll walked me to my car, and said, “We are so excited for you to come on board and be a part of the family. Try and if you feel comfortable, wear a camisole top tomorrow.” Then he said, “Don’t be surprised if you come tomorrow and I won’t have any clothes on.” I just looked at him like, “What?” Then he chuckled and said, “I won’t do that, I don’t want to traumatize you right away.” I was like, “Ok, I’ll see you guys tomorrow,” and he gave me a tight hug. And I got in my car and drove away.
But I didn’t show up the next day. I knew in my heart that all of this was a fraud, since it goes directly against the Spirit of Prophecy and the Bible. I’m glad that God can use me in some way to expose them for deceiving people. The disciples asked Jesus what will be the signs of the second coming in the last days. The Lord said, pray that you don’t be deceived. Many times the Lord repeats this in the same chapter of Matthew 24. And He goes on to say, even if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect.
The second testimony comes from another young single mother who we will call Jill. The following is taken from interviews with her about her encounter.
During the summer of 2012, Ernie and Becky visited Jill, on the way to some speaking engagements in her area. Jill has two young children. Her husband had contributed to Ernie’s ministry before he died. After his death, people advised Ernie to return as much as possible of this recent contribution to his widow. He has never returned even a small portion to Jill.
She is dark-haired, like Lynn. Ernie identified Jill as possibly the brunette from his dreams. It is important to note that Ernie had already met with and identified Lynn as the brunette. Ernie also said to Lynn that the brunette from his dreams was: 1) in the medical field, 2) not married, 3) formerly in the military. But Jill is not in the medical field or formerly in the military. By later identifying Jill as the brunette from his dreams, he contradicted his own earlier statements to Lynn.
Ernie and Becky spent a long time talking to her about his dreams and Jill’s role in them. He told her that he had seen a woman in a concentration camp whose body matched Jill’s, but that he could never make out the face. So he wasn’t sure, but felt that Jill could be the woman they had been looking for. Everyone in the camp was naked, but the faithful were witnessing for God and helping others get through the ordeal. The woman in his dreams would be one of the important people helping others. He told Jill that her two young children would be taken from her, leaving her alone.
Ernie told Jill that part of the preparation for these trials would be to become used to nudity now. He told Jill that he and Becky had stopped wearing clothes at home and encouraged others to do the same. They had recently been working with a young lady at their home who was very shy and self-conscious about being naked. Becky had been getting her used to nudity, “helping her to be comfortable with being naked even when Ernie was home.” Ernie told Jill that she should follow their advice and start getting used to nudity, as well as going in public without wearing underwear. Jill had no interest in this, but was deeply troubled by the dreams concerning her and her children.
Ernie asked if she had any money after the death of her husband and she told him no, at which point he dropped that subject. He encouraged her to come to his upcoming meetings, but she declined. He has made no contact with Jill since this time, despite the fact that he could easily give back all the money her husband gave to him.
The last testimony comes from someone who at first was supportive of Ernie and Becky’s ministry. But as he became aware of the motives and actions of Ernie, he lost confidence in the dreams and had to decide if this was something he wanted to support. He began recording details of what Ernie was spending people’s contributions for, as well as actions taken by them personally. The following is his written summary of what he observed:
Isaiah 58:1 “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”
Jeremiah 23:24 “Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.”
Selected Messages, Book 2, pp. 75,76 “During the past forty-five years, I have had to meet persons claiming to have from God messages of reproof to others. This phase of religious fanaticism has sprung up again and again since 1844. Satan has worked in many ways to establish error. Letters have come to me from different ones, relating visions that they said God had given them; but the Lord Jesus tells me, ‘Believe them not; I have not sent them.’
Patriarchs and Prophets, pg. 123.1 “The men of Babel had determined to establish a government that should be independent of God. There were some among them, however, who feared the Lord, but who had been deceived by the pretensions of the ungodly and drawn into their schemes. For the sake of these faithful ones the Lord delayed His judgments and gave the people time to reveal their true character.”
1. The For My People Ministry is receiving money from all over the world from believers in the dreams of Ernie Knoll that are posted on his website. This fact has been publicly stated on the website via personal testimonies, etc. It is the extremely difficult, yet Biblically solemn duty of anyone who has had the truth revealed to them regarding how those tithes and offerings are being recklessly used, to make it publicly known that these monies are being spent in the most evil, frivolous, self indulgent fashion possible, not to the glory of the Lord, but to the corruption of His work and tarnishing of His holy name. God is being mocked, and the saints of God around the globe must be made aware that their tithes and offerings are being misused.
2. The For My People Ministry is also receiving countless donations from all over the world from believers in the dreams of Ernie Knoll. Many people are emptying their lifetime savings, 401k’s, IRA’s, CD’s, and retirements. Since this ministry was established in 2009, they have received hundreds of thousands of dollars in total worldwide support. It is very conceivable that this amount could now be in the range of a million dollars or much more.
Although they attempt to create the illusion that they are living as starving peasants, as of January 1, 2013, Ernie and Becky Knoll continue to receive worldwide donations on a regular basis. The great majority of the donations began flowing in after a dream was posted on the ministry website on September 4, 2011, entitled “Remorse Or Rejoice.” The subtle theme being weaved into the “Remorse Or Rejoice” dream is that if you “give all” to the ministry, you will be counted as one who will be a part of the 144,000 remnant, who will then go out to give the Loud Cry message to the world under the banner of the For My People Ministry.
At the same time, what is also being woven into the dreams is the flip side of this message—that is, if you choose “not” to give all to the ministry, you will be lost.
This is all being systematically reinforced by the inconspicuously spellbinding art illustrations that accompany many of the dreams on the website. These are extremely clever mind-control tactics.
Out of sheer curiosity, a gentleman who formerly served in the military attended one of the 2012 summer meetings Ernie and Becky conducted. He was convinced that elements of NLP were being used by them to manipulate the audience. (NLP is short for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Google “The Dangers of NLP” for more info.) He had been exposed to NLP while he was in active duty, and he immediately recognized it.
The beguiling message being conveyed in Ernie’s dreams is that by contributing your financial sacrifice, or your “alms” to his ministry, you are thereby guaranteed a position or a seat as one of “those who are they,” the 144,000.
The message being promulgated is that the For My People Ministry is the vehicle God will use to give the closing gospel message to the world. God will “hire” into the For My People Ministry present truth pastors who have been disfellowshipped from the SDA Conferences, along with other lay ministers and self-supporting evangelists, to finish the work. Another tactic Ernie uses to maintain a suspension of belief and hope is a promise that the ministry will pay off all the debts of these hired pastors and ministers so that they will be able to do the Lord’s work unencumbered, free and clear of any financial stress.
The Great Controversy, pg. 521.1 “In order to sustain erroneous doctrines or unchristian practices, some will seize upon passages of Scripture separated from the context, perhaps quoting half of a single verse as proving their point, when the remaining portion would show the meaning to be quite the opposite. With the cunning of the serpent they entrench themselves behind disconnected utterances construed to suit their carnal desires.”
Maranatha, pg. 234 “The things you have described . .the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation . .The same kind of influence came in after the passing of the time in 1844 . . Men and women, supposed to be guided by the Holy Spirit, held meetings in a state of nudity. They talked about holy flesh. They said they were beyond the power of temptation, and they sang, and shouted, and made all manner of noisy demonstrations . . Satan was molding the work, and sensuality was the result.”
3.Ernie and Becky Knoll both demonstrate a constant lustful, sensual, and sexually deviant “lifestyle.” Aspects of their lifestyle have been exposed and well documented, and can be easily corroborated by open investigation if necessary. Other aspects of their deviant lifestyle have been privately confessed on at least one occasion by Ernie. They attempt to justify this lifestyle as being acceptable to God by taking portions of Bible scripture out of context to justify their obsession for nakedness. They also use the same Bible scriptures, taken out of context, to attempt to lure believers in Ernie’s dreams to share in the same deviant behavior, under the pretense that this behavior is necessary as “preparation” for the work God’s people will be doing during the coming crisis and time of trouble. This method of perverted seduction on the part of Ernie was used on unsuspecting, unmarried, Adventist women during his recently completed nationwide “missionary” tour (see point #4). Ernie is on record as stating that women who work for his ministry cannot wear bras. This is not a health related issue, it is purely lust of the flesh.
4. Ernie and Becky Knoll spent the summer of 2012 traveling around the United States promoting the ministry and Ernie’s dreams. On the For My People ministry website, the following statement is made on their ”Media/Donations” page: “Please note that all donations are used solely for supporting the gospel.” This statement is 100% false.
Through multiple private interviews, phone surveillance, and at least one known confession by Ernie, it is a fact that Ernie and Becky Knoll (both of whom do not work) spent large portions of the donations they are receiving to fulfill their sexually deviant lifestyle fantasies during their summer long trip. After their first meeting, which was given in Yucaipa, CA, on June 2, 2012, they spent at least one entire week at a very popular 100-acre Southern California nudist resort called “Glen Eden.” Glen Eden advertises itself as being “Southern California’s Premier Nudist Destination Where Southern California Gets Naked.”
Are we to believe that holy angels of the living God are tarrying at a place like this? This is just one example of how the money being donated to the For My People Ministry is being spent. Also, during the course of the meetings of this trip, Ernie announced to his audiences the following short list of items purchased with the donations the ministry has received, under the pretense that they were necessary for ”ministerial and travel purposes.” These include:
a. A fully loaded 2007 Monaco RV Motorhome (valued at approximately $230,000)
b. A brand new 2011 Hyundai Genesis ($34,200)
c. A brand new 2012 Honda Fit (under $20,000).
5. Whenever anyone openly disagrees with or discredits the dreams of Ernie Knoll, the result is that soon thereafter, Ernie is supposedly given a dream pronouncing woe and eternal damnation from God upon that individual, unless that individual repents by apologizing to and asking forgiveness from Ernie (a form of worship) within a given period of time. This is an obvious method of inflicting fear, intimidation, and mind control as well. Reputations are smeared, motives are condemned, and a shadow of doubt is cast upon an individual’s consecration and service to God. (Special Warning, January 13, 2013)
Please, dear friend, you do not dare to become captured by Satan! He will destroy you. Beware of those who ask for your tithe. Each person is to decide for himself where his tithe is to go,—and it should never go to those who require that it be given to them!
Beware of those who come to you with visions and dreams! In not one instance did Ellen White tell us that others would have genuine, prophetic dreams in these last days. There will be false ones (2SM 49, 98), and, even though they may contain some truth (7BC 952; 2SM 98), the false ones are inspired by Satan’s spirit (1T 569; 5T 658). Devils visit people with lying dreams (1T 433). Some eagerly accept anything that comes in the form of a dream (7BC 952), and the more foolish and meaningless, the more they are called wonderful light from God (2SM 78). Every variety of error will be introduced through false visions and dreams (7BC 952). If the dreams disagree even slightly with the Word of God, reject them (7BC 952). Even if you think there is “nothing objectionable” in them, that is no reason to accept them as from God (2SM 93-95). These people who claim to have dreams from God are controlled by impulse and impressions which they believe to be from the Holy Spirit and consider more reliable than the Inspired Word (7BC 952).
Earnie’s “Jesus” and “Herald” are repeatedly said to be full of laughter, hugs, hand holding, and assurances of salvation to everyone who accepts and supports Ernie. —But do not let Satan hypnotize you through devotedness to Ernie’s dreams, and his promises of certain salvation if you give him your money! Satan laughs when you do, for he is slowly drawing you into his net. Remain an Earnie dream reader and supporter, and he will have you in the end.
“As I beheld him, his [Satan’s] chin was resting upon his left hand. He appeared to be in deep thought. A smile was upon his countenance, which made me tremble, it was so full of evil and satanic slyness. This smile is the one he wears just before he makes sure of his victim, and as he fastens the victim in his snare, this smile grows horrible.”—Early Writings, 152.
Share this warning with others. Yes, warn them, before it is too late! We are too close to the end to dabble in strange dreams, inspired by demons, given through men or women who cannot control their lusts.
Ernie Knoll claims to be a special messager from God to our denomination in these last days. Therefore, we should be able to carefully consider his messages, and learn whether they agree with the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy writings. It is urgent that this is done. We dare not accept a person’s claim to be a prophet for our time without prayerfully checking what he presents. —vf
This dream provides not one truth that how to be come to Christ and be saved. It just tells about Ernie sitting at a table in heaven, waiting for food to be served. Yet if it was a special message from God in this dangerous hour of earth’s history, we should expect to receive very definite guidance.
While sitting there, Ernie recalls his sins on earth and regrets them. But Inspiration says none there will recall their sins there, for there is no mourning (GC 676), no troubled or anxious faces (ML 357), no sorrows (9T 287), totally happy (MH 506). Earth’s problems seem as nothing (PK 732),
In this dream, Ernie climbs to a cave, and a panther wants to jump on him. Eventually the animal falls down into the valley. Yes, there is excitement here, but nothing of value to the soul.
It may appear impressive, but upon closer notice we find here nothing about the importance of putting away of sin and living a godly life. Everything is intengible, without definite instruction for living a Christian life The only exception is the importance of listening to good music, but neither kind is described.
Ernie stands with others before an old gate, when suddenly there is a shaking and the gate collapses, and they pass through the opening. That ends the dream. No help here about godly living and right beliefs.
Looking out the window of a building, Ernie sees many other buildings, which then collapse and people fall to the ground. No guideance or saving truth.
Ernie sees on his websight a variation of the three angels’ messages: “Come out of her My people. The hour of My judgment hath come. Behold the wrath of thy God.” But neither the dream itself, nor the texts following it, contain information on what this means; what sins to avoid, or how to come to God.
An angel rides up on a white horse and dismounts. He has dimples, and tells Ernie his, Ernie’s, secret name and that he is giving the messages the right way, and that Jesus will be with him to the end. This is the first of a large number of statements by heavenly beings that Ernie is God’s special representative for these last days.
Ernie is standing before a council of men who are opposed to his dreams, but after a brief prayer, thousands of angels come and surround Ernie. Then “Jesus” comes and stands by him, and some of the angry men turn into angry monsters, while others flee and some fall down before Jesus. As with other dreams, this one is filled with large numbers of irrelevent details, which while making the scene more exciting, add no helpful information. The only truth provided is that Jesus is coming soon. But then, we know from Great Controversy, that Satan will appear as Christ prior to the Second Advent. So this one truth, without any others, is not helping us.
Now we expect to learn what the truth is. But instead of indentifying truth, Ernie is told that the truth are pieces of “wood” which he should stand on.
In this dream, Ernie briefly tells a man that the Sabbath is Saturday, not Sunday. Most gathered around do not want to hear it. Then the dream ends.
Ernie says he was awakened from a dream by his wife, Becky. In which he heard a voice say to prepare for the wrath of God. Once again, as frequently mentioned earlier, the only message is to prepare for God’s wrath. Then a special message is given to Ernie: “As June is a short month, so is time, prepare for the wrath of God.” Genuine messages from Heaven do not contain such an irrelevant mixture of insignificant details as we find in Ernie’s dreams. Also notice that Ernie is awakened from this dream by his wife. When Bible writers or EGW were receiving a vision or dream from God, nothing could awaken them.
Noah is told by learned men not to build the ark, so he delays doing so until the Flood comes and everyone dies. Then God remakes a new man from “mud.”
Said to be a four-part dream, we are told that Ernie is in a large mailroom and, as usual, a great abundance of irrelevant detail is given. Although Ernie is told that the mailings of his information need not be sent out anymore, Jesus walks over to him and tells him to continue, because the wrath of God is soon to fall.
Both good and evil angels are in sitting in the church, so the pastor prays that the evil angels leave. As soon as that happens, everyone is quiet and he begins his sermon.
Ernie is driving down the road, and angry people tell him he is going in the wrong direction, but the angels tell him to continue.
There are a number of strange things in this dream. Ernie speaks. Here are several:
“I stop and ask the angel his name. He answers, ‘You can call me ‘The Herald’ (he spelled it), but who I am is not important. The Great Adjudicator (he spelled this as well) is the one name we should want to know and speak of.”
“I see Ellen White sitting in a chair with a pen in her hand. It is early in the morning and all is quiet. She is surrounded by many, many, many angels. Jesus kneels on one knee next to her and is instructing her what to write.”
“We are now in another room. I see Elder Joe Crews sitting at a desk writing something. I notice the room is filled with holy angels. I see Jesus kneeling on one knee next to him. He is telling him what to write.”
“He [the angel] smiles at me and I once again notice his dimples.”
“My angel smiles at me and says, “You which are they are together Hliva.”
This is supposed to have deep meaning, for it is from a Greek word. But God does not speak to us personally in foreign languages. In addition, it is a corruption of the original word, ÅHlivaß (which means “Elijah”), with the wrong spelling.
“I am about to marvel at the beauty of the scene, when I turn, because I hear my heavenly name called. I see Jesus walking towards us. I want to run to Him, but I can’t because my angel has a tight hold of my hand and will not let go. He says, ‘You are in my keep.’ ”
“He smiles and those dimples show even more. He answers, ‘You are the bold one, aren’t you?’ ”
Neither God nor His angels flatters men, but Ernie is repeatedly flattered as being very important in these dreams.
Ernie is in church and sees various things and people there. Then they sing “Nearer My God to Thee” and the people feel better. Then the dream ends.
Ernie is shown that he must choose between his children and his work with For My People. He chooses the latter and feels good about it.
Ernie is walking with angels and is told that the feast days worships and studying to learn the “Bible Code” is all right for those to do who wish to do so, and study such things!
“If certain groups want to celebrate an ancient Jewish ritual by song and dance, it is not up to you to say it is bad just because things are shown to you in a dream contrary to what I am showing you to be correct now. The enemy wants all to love and worship God in their own way!” Then he says, “As for the Bible code, there is so much to be found if one just takes the time to study and look for it there. You will find so much truth.”
Then Ernie becomes angry because when he asks to hear his “new name” again, he is not told what it is. Pulling away from the angels and pouting, Ernie says he will not walk with them until he is told it. (In reality, none will be given a “new name” until after Christ returns; Rev. 2:17, 3:12).
“Suddenly, I stop walking and look right at them. They turn and ask me to continue walking with them. I ask, ‘What is my name, my new heavenly name? I want you to tell me the name I saw in my dream at the table in heaven. I want to hear the same name I have been told before!’ The one angel is irritated and says, ‘The name is not important and we have much more to share with you. Drop the whole name thing and let us continue on.’ I look up at the other angel who is talking all the time and say, ‘No, I am not going to walk any further until you tell me my new name.’ He [the angel] says, ‘Fine, I will. I know we have said you are the bold one before.’ He smiles and a peace comes over me. As I look up at him, I feel as if everything is fine.”
Then the angel tells those particular angels that Ernie is upset with to leave; Ernie must not become discouraged, for his supernatural guides need him too much.
“The sky rolls apart as if a carpet is being rolled back. Many angels quickly come and stand before me to block the first three angels from being near me . . Then the angel, who has previously said to call him “the Herald,” appears in front of me. He tells the angels with the shields to assist the three angels away from me. Then he tells the three angels to never come close to one of these who are they.”
While one angel becoming disgusted with Ernie, the other one flatters Ernie’s act of rebellion. (!) Then the “Herald” walks over and praises Ernie for his stubborness, tells him his “new name,” and adds that all heaven was watching to see that he would be victorious in his quarelling conversation with those other angels. (!)
“The Herald looks at me and smiles so that his dimples show. I look into his eyes and see such love and patience! He calls me by my heavenly name (the name I wanted to hear, but can only remember during a dream}. He says, ‘All of heaven was watching and waiting until you cried out for help. We have been waiting for you who have a great work to do.’ ”
Frequently, Ernie is flattered as the great one that Heaven is using to do its final work on earth.
“He puts his left hand on my shoulder and says, ‘Go through the wall.’ I ask, ‘Are you coming with me?’ He answers, ‘Continue to be the bold one.’ ”
So Ernie walks through the wall, showing how outstanding he is.
Yet another dream with little meaning is given. An earthquake occurs, and then darkness falls. Both flashlights and house lights provide very little light to those within. Then the dream ends.
Ernie is supposed to be God’s special agent on earth to give final truth. But here again, little of worth is said. Ernie begins the dream flying rapidly toward our planet. Upon arriving, he walks around and an immense amount of useless detail is described. For example, he has an aquarium in his home which continually pours into a river. We discover that Ernie is now in the New Earth. After more irrelevant detail, Ernie flies to the Holy City to join in the worship.
Keep in mind that reading such a dream as this lures you away from the study of the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, and you become the poorer for accepting the switch from Inspiration to dreams. Far better would it be to read the closing chapter of Great Controversy for the truth about the New Earth!
This dream essentially consists of an appeal for money. But, in addition, in it, Ernie is told that there is no error in anything that he is doing, or has done!
“Jesus comes through the wall. He calls me by my heavenly name. There is a sense of seriousness. He now answers four questions that I have been praying about and have never spoken aloud. He answers each one specifically to what I asked Him.
“Jesus answers one of the questions by the following. (Due to the personal nature of the other three questions, they will not be mentioned in this document.)
“• What Becky and I are doing with the ministry is exactly as He has planned.
“• There is no error in anything we have done.
“• These are messages that He has sent to His people. He is the author and inspiration of not only the dreams, but also the correspondence and the website. The For My People Ministry is very important.
Ernie admits that he does not know much about what is in the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. But, instead of telling him to read those books more,—the angel tells him that he does not need to study the Bible or Spirit of Prophecy, because God has other ways to instruct him:
“As for me not having a broad understanding of the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, the Herald says that I have a broader understanding than I might know and that because I am not ordained of man does not mean I am not ordained of God. The angel says that the Great Teacher has many ways of teaching other than what one can read in what He has written.”
Ernie is then told that these spirit guides are also giving messages to others elsewhere in the world.
“The Herald calls me by my heavenly name and says, ‘If you could only see and understand the impact these messages are making on new souls and the awakening they are having on old souls. Many are beginning to awake from their sleep. You are one of many that Jesus is working with all over the world. There are others who speak a different language with whom the Great King is working. You are not alone. You are being led by His Spirit.’ ”
This dream ends with the angel announcing that all who do not accept Ernie’s messages will be lost!
“Let all who have spoken evil against the message and messenger I have sent prostrate themselves before the throne of God. Ask for forgiveness in the name of His Son. Let them admit fault and take up their cross and follow the path of Jesus. Let them do this before the book is closed and the name is not written in the book.”
Ernie is told that dreams are different than visions.
“This is a dream. A dream happens while you are asleep. A vision happens when you are awake.”
Yet, in reality, the two are actually the same (1T 569; 5T 658).
Later in the dream, Jesus again says that those who reject Ernie’s work will be lost.
“Bow before Me and confess your sins so all will hear of your rebellion. A message was sent to My chosen messenger and you denied My ear and convinced others to turn away. Repent now and ask for forgiveness so the Father will hear and turn His face toward you. Ask this through and in the name of His Son. Kneel, confess your sins lest the streams and rivers dry up and the horse that drinks die, lest you walk the face of the earth and every ear turn away from you as the words you speak fall like rocks from your mouth. Repent lest the Lord God spew you out of His mouth as boiling seawater.”
Ernie accepts the theory that the ark of the covenant was placed in a cave beneath Gordon’s Calvary, just north of Jerusalem. According to this, when Christ died, His blood dripped through a crack and onto the mercy seat of the ark. (In a later dream, Ernie will be shown a future event when the ark is brought forth from that location.)
“A soldier walks over to Jesus and, with a spear, pierces upward through His right side just under His rib. Blood and water run down His legs and to the ground. I expect it to form into a puddle, but instead it disappears through the crack at the base of the cross. I ask the Herald where all His blood is going. He says, ‘That will be revealed for all to see,’ and pointing back up to Jesus, he continues, ‘but in His time.’ ”
First, I personally met a man that went to that ark site with Ron Wyatt, but Ron was unable to verify to him that it was actually there. Ron said an angel told him that he would be the one to bring it forth, but Ron died on August 4, 1999.
Second, the theory that Christ’s blood dripped directly down onto the ark of the covenant, hidden in the ground below—is disproved by an important Biblical fact: In the type, it was not until the Day of Atonement that the blood was placed on the mercy seat (Lev. 16:15-16; 29-34). In the antitype, this sprinkling of blood occurs during the Investigative Judgment,—but that began in 1844,—and not in A.D. 31. To say that the blood atonement onto the mercy seat occurred in A.D. 31 is a virtual denial of the truth about the final atonement and the investigative judgment!
Third, 2 Chronicles 35:3 is the last reference to the ark of the covenant being in the temple in Jerusalem. According to verse 19, this was in the year 621 BC, just 35 years before the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple by Nebuchadnezzar.
Fourth, however the ark was, indeed, hidden in a cave just prior to Jerusalem’s destruction by Nebuchadnezzar (PK 453), and remains hidden to this day (SR 195). We are told that it will be discovered and brought out after the National Sunday Law is enacted in the U.S., during the loud cry, as a witness in favor of the Ten Commandments (see 1BC 1109). I wrote extensively on this back in the 1980s.
Jesus is supposed to have told Ernie, “ ‘My vial of patience is almost empty. Those that have made claims against Me and My messenger [Ernie], with the facts that I have given, prove that they are wrong and are being used of Satan.’ ” More praise for Ernie from his supernatural guide. Then we are told:
“Jesus turns to me and explains that many who have said wrongs against me are not what people think they are. Many people would rather listen to others than to study to know God’s voice. Many will say they speak and perform miracles in His name. Jesus says, ‘I tell you this, “I know them not!” ’ ”
Notice that the guide does not say to study the Scriptures, but to listen to God’s voice through Ernie. Then Ernie is said to be told:
“Jesus turns to me and says, ‘Man ordains man to serve on My behalf but I have called you personally to serve on My behalf.’ ”
Shortly after this, we are told:
“Jesus calls me by my heavenly name and says, ‘I showed you in another dream how I instructed one of My angels to place one large blue cape with gold and silver trim on all the edges over both you and Becky. Go and share the things I have shown you in your dreams. Do not worry about those that place themselves mightier than you. I am the Creator of all. Go and share the dreams.’ ”v
We know that the Mark of the Beast and the Seal of God will not begin to be placed until the National Sunday Law has been enacted in the U.S., and people learn the issues involved and make their decision whether or not they will keep the Bible Sabbath (7 Bible Commentary, 976-977).
But, according to the following paragraph, in a dream supposedly given to Ernie on July 12, 2008, Jesus ordered myriads of angels to begin placing the seal of God on the foreheads of many people on that date.
“Jesus now turns to a large group of angels who hold special writing instruments that resemble large, pure gold candles. He commands other angels who hold a book to accompany those that hold the writing instruments. He instructs other angels that excel in speed to accompany each of the angels He spoke of. He commands them to go forth quickly and write His name on the forehead of those who have decided to follow Him. ‘Let those who serve another master not receive My mark. Let those who follow and serve them also not receive My mark. Tarry not, as My people wait to come home.’ I watch as all these angels quickly leave.”
In an earlier dream, Ernie was told that only certain cities would be destroyed before the Second Advent, but the guide said that he, Ernie, was not to tell anyone which ones they are. Now Ernie is again told that only certain cities will be destroyed before the Second Advent.
“You have already been shown the fireballs and the cities that will be destroyed. You do not need to share which ones, as all must learn to be dependent upon their Creator’s voice not man’s voice. If they only ask I will tell them.”
But it is not true that only certain cities will be destroyed before Christ’s return. At the sounding of the Voice of God, the most powerful earthquake in earth’s history will occur—and every building in the world will collapse! The end of the world as we now know it will have then come, and Christ’s Second Coming occurs shortly thereafter. Here is more on this final, immense earthquake: EW 16, 272, 285, 287, 290; GC 637, 657; 1T 60, 184, 354.
Why is the entire world desolate at the beginning of the millennium? —It is solely due to that great earthquake, which occurred at the sounding of the Voice of God!
“The whole earth appears like a desolate wilderness. The ruins of cities and villages destroyed by the earthquake, uprooted trees, ragged rocks thrown out by the sea or torn out of the earth itself, are scattered over its surface, while vast caverns mark the spot where the mountains have been rent from their foundations.”—Great Controversy, 657.
The so-called “Jesus” then shows Ernie a very different way that these cities will be destroyed. Fireballs will fall from heaven on certain cities and ruin them, while not injuring others. We have here another total fabrication.
In one vision, EGW was shown a single ball of fire which fell “among some beautiful mansions” (9T 28). In another vision, “Great balls of fire were falling upon houses” (Letter 278, 1906). But we are not told anywhere that they destroyed an entire city, much less many of them, as claimed in this dream. In preparing background data for this “dream,”
Ernie’s helpers did not do good research work. They thought the balls of fire on a few buildings did the damage on many entire cities,—which, in reality, the later great earthquake will actually produce. The following sentence is just not true:
“I see the first fireball scream past us and hit directly into the atmosphere. It hits so hard that even from where we are the whole earth shakes. The fireball does not go through the atmosphere but explodes. The large city underneath instantly evaporates into nothing—all the buildings, bridges, vehicles, bodies of water, and people.”
“Many other fireballs penetrate the atmosphere at an angle, hitting earth’s surface and causing destruction. As the earth turns, I now see that this is a global event. Many cities around the world lay in ruins.”
In this dream, a mighty angel from heaven talks to Ernie about an automobile in a repair shop.
“The Herald is also there and asks me, ‘What do you see in front of you?’ I tell him it is a yellow Corvette ZR1. He asks, ‘How do you know?’ I answer, ‘Because it has Corvette ZR1 emblems all over the car and also has a distinctive ZR1 design.’ ”
The “Herald” then passes his hand over the emblems, erasing them. After some back and forth conversation, he tells Ernie that the car represents the Adventist Church, including its former members.
A mechanic does not know where Titus is in the Bible. But, when shown, he gives a sermon from it to the audience.
A motorist is given a ticket for speeding. Then his guide tells him that it symbolizes an earlier problem that Ernie had—which the guide says was not actually Ernie’s fault.
“Walking along with the Herald, he now explains, ‘This is how it was with you. Many did not and still do not understand that you were simply observing what you thought was the correct speed limit. While you were made to stand before earthly policemen and judges who condemned you and declared you an unsafe driver, you went before the only One who has the right to listen—the Great Judge—and asked for forgiveness. He forgave you, and you returned to being a good driver in God’s eyes.’ ”
The point of the dream is that Ernie really did not make any mistakes earlier, while being spoken against for having done so. But God has totally forgiven him and returned him to his position as God’s representative. (Yet one of those mistakes was falsifying about letters by a woman who did not exist. The entire matter was a matter of intentional dishonesty on Ernie’s part. But his “heavenly” guide says he was just misunderstood.)
We are clearly told in the Spirit of Prophecy that Satan will not be able to counterfeit the Second Advent of Christ.
Satan’s “crowning act of deception” will be to impersonate Christ, as thought it were His Second Coming. But (1) while can and will appear in different countries, (2) he will not be permitted to come down from the skies accompanied by large numbers of angels.
“As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will personate Christ. The church has long professed to look to the Saviour’s advent as the consummation of her hopes. Now the great deceiver will make it appear that Christ has come. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness.”—Great Controversy, 624.
“Satan is not permitted to counterfeit the manner of Christ’s advent. The Saviour has warned His people against deception upon this point, and has clearly foretold the manner of His second coming . . ‘For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.’ Matthew 24:24-27, 31; 25:31; Revelation 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17.This coming there is no possibility of counterfeiting. It will be universally known—witnessed by the whole world.”—Great Controversy, 625.
—But in this October 2, 2010 dream, Ernie’s mysterious angel, “Herald,” verifies that the following description of Satan’s last-day appearance on earth—will begin with a full-fledged advent to earth from the skies, accompanied by vast numbers of angels, and everyone on earth will witness it! —But this description is utterly false!
“As I look toward the east, I see many who stand looking with anticipation into a clear blue sky that has no clouds. They seem to already know about this coming event. As I look into the distant sky, I notice what looks like a round black hole that opens out more and more, similar to a trumpet shape. Many different angels of various sizes and appearances now fly from the middle of the black hole and fill in to the area that resembles the end of a trumpet. They have formed together as if to welcome someone very important. I now see that the middle of this large company of angels fills with a great brightness. As many angels blow trumpets and many others sing, those on the earth who are watching stare at the grandest event they have ever witnessed.
“I now see one of a great and noble stature sitting upon a moving throne that resembles a golden fluid and is carried by angels who each have six living, golden wings. They sing of his wonderful creations throughout the universe and of his holiness and greatness. These angels sing in unison the words “holiest, holiest, holiest” over and over. Many around the world and many of different faiths begin to notice or hear about this grand event. While many watch the scene as it occurs, others around the world view it on television newscasts.
“Many angels now form into a choir that begins to sing and lead the way to the earth. The singing is made to be holy and reverent, not like the unholy and irreverent music performed in the churches of today. As the angels and he who sits on the throne slowly descend, many on the earth fall to their knees and begin crying and praying. Many follow this descending procession as if their personal deliverer has come. As the procession continues on, I look closely at him who sits on the throne. I see love and compassion in his eyes but not the great love of the love of the love. I do not see my Savior. I am longing to see the eyes of my Jesus who looks at each with that great love. I tell the Herald that I am seeing the false coming and have seen enough. He responds that there is still much for me to see and requests that I continue faithfully reporting what I observe. As I continue watching, the angelic choir voices rise to a musical crescendo, which causes many to become filled with emotion.
“As time proceeds on, I notice that much attention is given to that great moment when he who sits on the throne is able to step off the throne. It is as if every eye observes his foot touching the ground. Every television station has a camera that is transfixed to that moment when he steps off and places his foot on the earth. With orchestrated planning, the heavenly choir rises to a musical interlude that peaks to a perfect crescendo moment when he is about to place his foot on the ground. Angels with six wings hover over him in the sky. As that moment arrives, all music and singing cease, and all becomes quiet. As his foot becomes visible, all notice a scar on the top. When his foot touches the ground, a united cheer of those who stand on the earth, a resounding musical crescendo of those in the air, and a perfect, well-orchestrated, planned musical harmony fills the earth. All those who hear are caught up with emotion.
“This noble being, who calls himself “the Christ,” stands so tall that he is easily seen. His well-tanned face is long, yet wide. His hair is white and brushed back. He is proportionately built and wears a long purple robe that almost touches the ground. Around his waist is a golden belt tied in a perfect knot with tassels on the ends that fall loosely on his right hip. Over his chest is what looks like a molded plate that resembles a perfectly muscled chest and abdominal area. I am wondering if it is actually his skin, because it moves as freely as if it is a part of himself rather than what he wears. It appears like living fluid metal, almost as if it emits heat or energy. He wears a crown with crowns inside of crowns that sits perfectly on his head. In his left hand, he holds a scepter. At the top of it is what appears to be a large crystal emitting a golden flame or ever-present heat. It also appears to be made of transparent, blood-red metal that moves in a continual fluid motion. In the middle where it is held are finely-wound silver threads.
“I now notice the place where the grand visitation has decided to make their first contact—the great courtyard of the Vatican. I observe the pope approach with his entourage, and he is assisted as he kneels at the feet of the false Christ who is Satan. He kneels and kisses each of the feet of this imposter. Satan now reaches down and takes hold of the pope’s left hand, assisting him to his feet. Then taking the scepter in his left hand, he plunges it into the ground. As he now raises both hands into the air, elongated scars can be seen in each palm. He proceeds to proclaim, “It is I, the Christ. I have returned as I said I would.” As he speaks, people of different languages understand him perfectly. He continues by saying, “Blessed are those who have watched until this day. I will make all things new. I will visit and heal all those who are sick.”
Later in this same “dream,” Ernie’s “Herald” confirms that the above is a true and accurate portrayal of Satan’s coming to our world.
“The Herald, who has been standing at my right side the whole time, tells me that most will be deceived.”
“Be prepared, for soon the deception of all deceptions will play out, and even the most devout follower of Jesus Christ can be easily deceived. Prepare now, for the hour of your great test is upon you.”
We agree. If you do not want to be deceived, stop reading Ernie’s purported dreams!
—But before leaving this dream, the question is why does Ernie’s spirit guide want everyone to believe that the true advent of Christ will look like this? The reason is so when Christ returns, mankind will think He is the devil!
At the beginning of this dream, Ernie comments further on the preceding dream (discussed above), saying it correctly shows that Satan will descend from the skies in the same way as Christ will. —But we know that Satan will not be permitted to descend to earth in imitation of Christ’s advent! (GC 624, 625, quoted earlier)
“In the dream titled ‘The Great Test,’ I was shown one way that Satan will deceive when he descends as ‘the Christ.’ The music presented at his “coming” will be solemn and reverent, and all his angels will portray a sense of awe.”
As if that fabrication is not enough, Ernie adds to it in this latest dream! You may recall that in the preceding dream, Ernie said that “Many different angels of various sizes and appearances” were part of that retinue of angels. (I placed the earlier phrase in italics so you can easily find it.).
Part one of this dream: In this present dream, this strange being, called “Herald”, now tells Ernie that there are many different types of angels, some taller, some shorter, some slimmer, some stronger, some faster! Here we are given more imaginative thinking.
First, I will quote the entire passage. Then I will analyze it, point by point, comparing it with Inspiration—and show how it is a total fabrication!
“I turn to see the Herald. He says that he is here to give a message for me to share and directs my attention to the different types of angels before me. He explains that angels attended the Creator in His perfection and greatness, before the ink was applied to the blueprint of this earth. These angels are a sampling of the many who have a desire to serve and give the utmost care to reverence.
“The Herald points to certain angels and says, “ This angel excels in strength; this angel excels in speed of travel; this angel serves as a marking angel; this angel is a guardian angel; this angel is a comforting angel; this angel is an angel who helps in understanding; this is a battle angel; this is a recording angel; this is a messenger angel; this is an archangel; this is a cherub; this is a seraph.” There are many more angels I see who represent the Creator’s divine creating power. Each one is distinct in his design and purpose.
“Next the Herald describes the features of these angels. The angel excelling in strength is tall but proportionate. The angel who excels in speed is not as large but rather lean and sinewy, yet still perfect in appearance. His wings look like pure energy and light, and I know the Great Designer gave this angel the ability to travel at speeds. I do not completely understand the marking angels, except that their job is to mark the places where God’s creations rest until Jesus calls them to everlasting life or death.
“ The comforting angel bears a resemblance of gentleness and is neither male nor female, as it is with all angels. The angel who helps in understanding is ready to guide in what is instructed by the Great Father. The battle angel appears as one not to be reckoned with. He stands with a sword in one hand and what looks like a shield in the other hand to protect the one he is defending. The recording angel appears noble but meek. He holds what resembles a pure glass tablet in his left arm and moves his right hand over the surface to record every thought, word, and action. These angels record every moment of the life of God’s creations until the day the marking angels begin serving.
“ The angels who serve as messengers are designed with the ability to travel with great speed. Each one also carries a glass tablet and excels in repeating a message with perfect accuracy. The archangel stands a little taller than other types of angels and bears a very noble stance. The Herald has this same look but is taller and nobler in appearance than the others. The cherubim are not like what are portrayed in so many pictures and statues. [?] This angel[s] is [are?] almost as tall and noble as the archangel. He [they] is one of many who stand very close to the presence of the heavenly Father. These angels are tall and majestic with two proudly pronounced and extended wings that rise over the top of their head, even when folded.
“I see other types of angels further out, all with the single purpose of serving the God of the universe. They are a tribute to their Creator. It is amazing to see such a variety of angels, with each being perfectly created.”
Let us now carefully consider some of those on the list we were just told about:
It is said that one angel excels in strength, but DA 700 says that all of them are “all-powerful.” If that is so, one cannot be more powerful than the others. Indeed, we are told that all of them “excel in strength” (GC 512, 630; PK 513; and 6 other references).
Another is said to “lean and sinewy” and fly faster than all the others. This faster angel is described as having wings like “pure energy and light.” But, in reality, all the angels have a covering of “dazzling light” (AA 147, 434-435; 7BC 926; DA 47-48; 780; 788, and 11 more). Their loveliness and glory are surpassing (DA 739). Men cannot endure the unveiled glory of any of them (1 SM 96-97).
There is supposed to be a “battle angel” who always carries a sword and shield. But, the truth is (Oh, who really cares about truth in these dreams?) that the garments of all of them consist of the “armor of heaven” (1T 346; 2SG 277), and all of them have warlike garments (3BC 1127). In addition, Ernie says that only battle angel apparently fights real battles with the demons at the present time. That is not true either. The warfare between all the good and evil angels is continual (MB 119; Ev 704; 7T 213). Keep in mind that all a good angel has to do is draw near, and the evil angels must flee. All of the good angels are more powerful than the devils (2 SG 277-278).
We are told that the recording angel is meek; apparently meeker than the others. But, in truth, the good angels are all meek (ML 123; 3T 377), equally meek. (In reality, an angel who is not fully meek, would be somewhat proud.) They are all pure and sinless (2T 44). They are all reverent with deepest humility (PP 348-349).
Ernie says it is only the messenger angels which can remember a message and repeat it correctly, But God’s Word says that all of them have powerful capability and knowledge (CT 426). It is unbelievable to imagine that some of them forget things. Few people have any just idea of their intellectual power (2T 171). Their perceptions are unclouded by sin (5T 736). All of them are “wiser than Satan” (5T 504).
Who but a devil would try to convince men that the good angels are not very smart, that some are weak, and only a few are capable of warring with demons? Satan and his devils are extremely angry that they were kicked out of heaven by good angels.
We are told that the “comforting angel” has more gentleness than the others, but true Inspiration says all of them have “perfect peace” (2T 327) and are “mild and happy” (SR 13). Apparently, “the comforting angel” is supposed to be the only one who comforts us. (Satan wants us to believe that Heaven is not going to provide us with much comfort and help.) But the truth is that all of them are tender, loving, and continually minister to us (3T 231). They minister to the heirs of salvation (6T 63).
The cheribim are said to have one wing that always sticks straight up. If so, they could never fly straight, but would go in circles. But they are closely connected with the plan of salvation. They “represent the angelic host who are connected with the work of the heavenly sanctuary and who are ministering spirits to the people of God on earth” (PP 347). The cheribim are not defective angels, improperly created so they fly crooked all the time. The wings of each and every angel is, at various times, spread about God’s faithful ones. So this would have to include the cheribim (see AA 154, quoted below).
Ernie’s “Herald” says that the angels come in different sizes! We had never heard that before either! “The angel excelling in strength” is said to be “tall but proportionate” The archangel is taller than the others. Herald “is taller and nobler in appearance than the others.” [?] This angel[s] is [are?] almost as tall and noble as the archangel. The cherubim are noted for being “tall and majestic.” But Inspiration tells us that the stature of all of them is a little less than that of Christ. Nowhere are we told that some are taller than the others! The impression made by Herald is that the angels are a bunch of odd-shaped creatures. But the truth is that they all wear the yoke of total obedience to God (5BC 1136) and work together harmoniously (Ev 115; 1T 649).
“There are other types of angels, but the last type presented to me is the seraphim.”
While the primary assignment given to the seraphim and cherubim is to stand by the throne of God, the following intriguing statement indicates that cherubim, seraphim, and angels also minister to us down here!
“Every true child of God has the co-operation of heavenly beings. Invisible armies of light and power attend the meek and lowly ones who believe and claim the promises of God. Cherubim and seraphim, and angels that excel in strength, stand at God’s right hand, ‘all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.’ Hebrews 1:14.”—Acts of the Apostles, 154.
According to this, the seraphim and cherubim may also personally minister to our needs here on earth at times. If so, in this way they would themselves have a close-up view of the terrible conflict of the ages between good and evil that is being waged down here.
As for the archangel,—the truth is that he is not just one of the angels, as “Herald” maintains—but Christ Himself! There is only one Archangel. The word in Greek means “beginner (originator, creator) of the angels,” but it can also mean leader of them. Christ is the Archangel.
“Heaven’s Prince, the Archangel, Michael, was sent to turn the heart of the stubborn king to take some decided action to answer the prayer of Daniel.”—Sanctified Life, 51.
Not even Gabriel, the highest angel in heaven who took the position previously occupied by Lucifer, is an archangel. Gabriel is next in rank to Christ (DA 99, 234, 693, 780; MH 379).
(In one of the most recent “dreams” [in 2012], Ernie catagorically states that “Herald” is actually Gabriel! This seems to be yet another way that Ernie can show how great he is, for every night or two in a dream, Gabriel takes him by the hand and leads all over heaven and earth, as he declares to him mysterious, new “truths” for us to believe.)
Last but not least, Ernie is shown large numbers of additional, different types of angels.
It should be mentioned that, in these dreams, Ernie repeatedly sees large numbers of angels flying randomly, seemingly aimlessly, around him, as though they have nothing better to do than to enjoy being near him.
Yet the truth is that angels are, with rare exception (ML 304), always invisible to mortals (AA 153-154; COL 176; DA 639; etc.), and always sent on special missions. They do not just wander about aimlessly, as if many of them had nothing to do.
Part two of this dream: Later, in this same dream, we are told that Herald leads Ernie to the throne room of God.
What is the center of heaven like, where God is? In this dream, we are presented with a picture of a very large number of immense rooms, each apparently empty. Gradually, we go through one door after another,—until we are nearing the door where God’s throne is.
“We then enter into another very large room which is inside the previous room. We continue on into other very large rooms that are within rooms and now stand at the threshold of the innermost of all rooms. In a most subdued voice, the Herald states that we are about to enter into the most holy and reverent throne room. He whispers that this is where we will find God’s presence, and that from this point on we will lift a little off the ground. No one is to touch the ground, because that would desecrate the very presence of Him who is the Father. I am only to look, listen, and not speak unless asked to. I am to be brought into the presence of the Great I AM. As we cross the threshold, our feet leave the ground.”
We are then clearly told that no one speaks in the throne room, unless first spoken to by God. With an occasional exception, all is silence.
In addition, no one stands there. All float around.
Apparently, it is something of an empty place. Indeed, we are given a picture of a very uninviting place, with strictly imposed silence and little or no sounds of speaking, stepping, or movement.
Disgusted with having been kicked out of there, the demons would like us to believe that heaven is really not a place worth going to. Just an ominous, forbidding, enclosed room where everyone tiptoes around on thin air, fearing to utter a sound.
In Herald’s description, four points stand out:
(1) No one speaks there, unless first spoken to by God. (2) Everyone floats around, without ever touching the floor. (3) The room is filled with thrones. (3) Millions of human beings will eventually sit on those thrones.
“There is no unnecessary talking. No one speaks unless addressed by the voice of Him who sits on the throne . . The Herald quietly explains how I noticed many thrones in the throne room. The thrones closest to God’s throne are to be occupied by those who were once great servants of Satan. They performed many of his biddings, but came to hear that still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. They resigned from serving Satan and began doing God’s bidding. Next to these faithful servants are God’s elect—these who are they—the 144,000 who become like Christ and stand in the last days without Christ as their Mediator. Next to them are the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice for God.”
These peculiar concepts are new to us. According to this, angels bringing messages from all over the universe do not speak until spoken to. That may be so, but we are not told this in Inspiration.
In addition, according to Herald, there are millions of other thrones, scattered here and there throughout this throne room. We are told that vast numbers of humans will sit on all the other thrones in that room. But, of course, they will not be speaking.
Checking on this in Inspiration, I found nowhere that anyone sits on a throne in the Great Throne Room except the Father and the Son (EW 54-55, 92).
But we are also told that, during the millennium, the redeemed will sit on “thrones” judging the wicked (EW 290-291; GC 661). Maybe that just means chairs or something similar; and we are not told that they are in the Great Throne Room. If they are in that room, then, according to Ernie, they cannot be involved in determining the sentences of the wicked—since, according to Herald, they, like everyone else, would not be permitted to speak there. As Ernie describes it: “No one speaks unless addressed by the voice of Him who sits on the throne.” (I get the impression from this dream that this deity is one to fear and hate, not love; which is just what Satan wants us to think.)
In contrast, we are also told that, instead of being silent, we are to press our petitions to the throne of God through Christ (5T 221). We must press our case to God’s throne (5T 649), and urge our petitions to it (5T 649). That throne is occupied by One who permits men to call Him Father (8T 177).
”Let the teacher of truth make known to the sinner what God really is,— a Father waiting with yearning love to receive the returning prodigal, not hurling at him accusations of wrath, but preparing a feast to welcome his return.”—Gospel Workers, 157.
“This world is but a little atom in the vast domain over which God presides, and yet this little fallen world is more precious in His sight than the ninety and nine which went not astray from the fold. If we will make Him our trust, He will not leave us”—Testimonies to Ministers, 324.
“He watches over us with more tenderness than does a mother over an afflicted child. ‘Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him.’ ”—Counsels on Stewardship, 17.
In the same way, angels bring messages to and from God to all the universe.
In reality, the throne of God, which is the center of the universe (GC 677), is a place of exalted happiness, praise, and song! It is also the communication center of all worlds, with messages coming and going.
“ Amid the anthems of the celestial choir, God hears the cries of the weakest human being . . our words reach the throne of the Monarch of the universe. They may be inaudible to any human ear, but they cannot die away into silence . . Nothing can drown the soul’s desire. It rises above the din of the street, above the confusion of the multitude, to the heavenly courts. It is God to whom we are speaking, and our prayer is heard.”—Christ’s Object Lessons, 174.
“All the heavenly angels are at the service of the humble, believing people of God; and as the Lord’s army of workers here below sing their songs of praise, the choir above join with them in ascribing praise to God and to His Son”—Acts of the Apostles, 154.
Now would you like to see a true view of what it is like in the throne room of God? Here it is:
“As our Redeemer leads us to the threshold of the Infinite, flushed with the glory of God, we may catch the themes of praise and thanksgiving from the heavenly choir round about the throne; and as the echo of the angels’ song is awakened in our earthly homes, hearts will be drawn closer to the heavenly singers.”—Education, 168.
No, not mournful silence, but joyful praise to our wonderful King! Here is another view of that happy place:
“Why not awake the voice of spiritual song in the days of our pilgrimage? . . . We need to study God’s Word, to meditate and pray. Then we shall have spiritual eyesight to discern the inner courts of the celestial temple. We shall catch the notes of thanksgiving sung by the heavenly choir around the throne.”—Sons and Daughters of God, 198.
At the end of this lengthy dream, Ernie is told that he will be able to write down this dream with utter accuracy! You have just read the foolishness that he wrote down.
“The Herald places each of his hands on my shoulders and states, ‘What you have just been shown has taken place over many nights. Know that angels and the Holy Spirit will guide you as you prepare these important messages.”
Yet we have found that in over two dozen ways, many things given in this dream do not agree with God’s Written Word.
Mr. Herald, I don’t know if you are a demon or a figment of Ernie’s fertile immagination (I suspect it is a combination of both), but either way, you are nicely fufilling the will of your infermal master, Satan, as you seek to discourage God’s people from wanting to join that happy choir in heaven someday—by, instead, telling them that God’s throne room is a silent place, where all utterances initiated by the angels are forbidden, and everyone must tiptoe around on thin air.
Instead of feeling relieved to get away from such a desolate place, let us keep in mind that Satan hates heaven, because he was cast out of it!
“The hour for joyful, happy songs of praise to God and His dear Son had come. Satan had led the heavenly choir. He had raised the first note; then all the angelic host had united with him, and glorious strains of music had resounded through heaven in honor of God and His dear Son. But now, instead of strains of sweetest music, discord and angry words fall upon the ear of the great rebel leader. Where is he? Is it not all a horrible dream? Is he shut out of heaven? Are the gates of heaven never more to open to admit him? The hour of worship draws nigh, when bright and holy angels bow before the Father. No more will he unite in heavenly song. No more will he bow in reverence and holy awe before the presence of the eternal God.”—Story of Redemption, 25.
As for Ernie, keep in mind that he earlier admitted to lying about the existence of, and letters by, a woman that did not exist. Now that he is working closely with what appears to us to be dark angels, we should not be surprised if, after receiving each dream, the next day under their tutilege, Ernie adds many flowery touches to each dream. He is repeatedly praised by Herald (who will later learn is supposed to be Gabriel, the highest angel), supposedly visited by Christ who walks to where he is and then accompanies him on various journeys. But more often on his trips, he walks hand in hand with dimple-faced “Herald,” who leads him through walls and high up into space.
It is a striking fact that very little that Ernie is told and shown is essential for our salvation. It is just intriguing fluff, provided in small installments to keep the money flowing in to Ernie, and instill in men and women a desire for “heavenly dreams” instead of steady, patient study of the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy.
In addition, from time to time, Ernie is careful to instruct his readers that (1) only those who support him now with their money—are guaranteed a part in the 144,000, and (2) by doing so,—they now become part of the 144,000. The implication is that by paying him money from month to month, one’s salvation is already assured.
This is something like what Tetzel offered to the people in Germany, that Luther so opposed: salvation for pay.
What is the truth about this? First, who are the 144,000? Second, when do they become part of the 144,000?
The answer to both questions is found in two pages in the book, Great Controversy. Carefully read GC 648:3 through 649:0 (which fills most of page 649).
(1) This is the group that has “gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name.”
(2) This is the group that sing that special “new song” which no one else can sing.
(3) This is the group which is counted as the final “first fruits unto God and to the Lamb.”
(4) This is the group “which came out of great tribulation;” “they have passed through the time of trouble”; “They have endured the anguish of the time of Jacob’s trouble; they have stood without an intercessor through the final outpouring of God’s judgments” upon the wicked.
First, who are the 144,000? It is God’s faithful ones who remain true to God and His commandments from the National Sunday Law all the way through the close of probation to the Second Advent. Second, when do they become part of the 144,000? When they pass through that experience.
They do not become part of the 144,000 by sending money at the present time to anyone!
These are lies, purportedly coming from “Jesus” and “Herald” (who we will later be told is “Gabriel the highest angel”). Friends, this is serious! Are you going to keep reading and supporting Ernie Knoll? If so, know that the evidence is rapidly mounting that, in doing so, you are supporting the devil and his work on earth!
There is going to be a special blessing for those of us who will not be among the 144,000!
It is understandable that we should want to be among that special group, for the Spirit of Prophecy repeatedly urges us to reach for the highest in every aspect of Christian experience.
But those of us who are older may not live through the final crisis. The fact that I may be laid to rest before the final crisis does not in the least concern me. Keeping my eyes on Jesus, I am happy all the day.
Now there is a special reason for my lack of concern regarding membership in this special group which, because of age, will probably not be my lot to share in. —It is the great truth that those who die in the faith of the third angel—will come up in the special resurrection and see Jesus return in the clouds of heaven! (EW 285:1-286:0; read it and rejoice! Also GC 637:1). Although we will not be part of the 144,000 at that time, we will be with them (2SM 263:2) in seeing Christ return for His beloved children.
It should be mentioned here that after this October 12, 2010 dream, Ernie has few dreams of any doctrinal significance until December 12, 2012. It may be that friends warned him that this October 12 dream contained too many errors. So Ernie followed that advice for awhile. But then in late 2012,—he did it again.
In this dream, Jesus gives Ernie a hug as they walk along and jokes with him.
“I now look up into the peaceful face of Jesus and tell Him I have several questions and much to talk about. He looks at me with a smile and says, “It is a good thing that this path is long.” I laugh, and He places His left arm around my shoulder and hugs me as we walk along. From a distance, the angels continue to softly sing.”
Then this joker, called “Jesus,” says that Ernie was “selected before birth” to receive and share these messages.
Jesus explains that He has heard my pleas to the Father and that I was selected before birth to serve as a messenger. The path I walked before was allowed to bring me to where I now understand. He hugs my shoulder again, calls me by my heavenly name.”
Then Ernie, obviously quite proud of himself, declares that he has “three names” and that they all stand for “truth”—and therefore Ernie is the truth!
“My real full name that was given to me at birth and documented by my parents is Earnest Ray Knoll. Jesus further explains that just as my heavenly name has a special meaning, the name given to me by my parents also has a special meaning. My first name ‘Earnest’ means ‘truth.’ (This can be seen at www.meaning-of-names.com/search.) I have also spelled my name as ‘Ernest’ without the letter ‘a.’ That name also means ‘truth.’ My nickname, “Ernie,” also means “truth.” So the three variations of my first name mean ‘truth,’ ‘truth,’ and ‘truth.’ This can be seen in the name of the book on my website, which I was instructed in “The Boardroom” dream to call, the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH, and nothing but the TRUTH.”
Enoch, Joseph, and Daniel would never bragged on themselves as Ernie does. In addition, he intimates that his name proves that all that he writes is absolutely true. What kind of logic is this?
“From the beginning to the end, God knows all. Since my name is Earnest, I will be truth. Although I still like to be called Ernie.”
The truth about the “heavenly name”—Also keep in mind that the “heavenly name” by which the so-called “Jesus” has been calling Ernie,—cannot be correct Biblically.
First, although we can now call God by a “new name” (COL 141-142; FE 309), none of us will receive our “new name” until we are among the redeemed in heaven.
“To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written”—Revelation 2:17.
It is not until they stand at the entrance to the Holy City—and not before then,—that the redeemed receive their new name.
“Upon the heads of the overcomers, Jesus with His own right hand places the crown of glory. For each there is a crown, bearing his own ‘new name’ (Revelation 2:17), and the inscription, ‘Holiness to the Lord.’ ”—Amazing Grace, 57; Great Controversy, 646.
Why is it best that we not receive our “new name” now? Two reasons: First, it would tend to inflate our egos, and we do not need that. Second, it would indicate a “once-saved-always-saved” condition, and that cannot be true at this time.
In the late 1980s, a woman in Florida began writing her dreams, which she called “spirit dictations” from Jesus. In several, her guide (“Jesus”) told her the meaning of various colors. —and now, in this dream, Ernie’s guide has done it also!
As an angel and a man walk through a field, the flowers in it change from one color to another, as explanations are given as to the meaning of colors.
Neither the Bible nor the Spirit of Prophecy would provide us with such worthless fodder. This is not the food that will lead any of us through to the Second Coming! If you want to be part of the 144,000, instead of reading Ernie’s dreams and supporting him so he can keep sending them out,—read the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy as though your life depended on it! For it does.
After trying to count all the angels which are flying, swooping down, flying up and around him, and showing off for Ernie’s benefit, Ernie is impressed with the vast numbers of them.
Then, as Ernie watches, the greatest angel of them all, “Herald” (which we will later be told is Gabriel) leads the angels in a great choir performance—all for Ernie’s sake, who is obvously the favored one of heaven, for no one else on earth receives such a concert performance!
“Looking up, I notice a single angel descend and stand in front of the other angels. I am sitting about one mile away; yet I can clearly see that his appearance is different from the rest of the angels. He is taller, and even though I do not see his face, I know he is very noble looking. He stands with his back toward me, holds up his hands, and points toward different groups of angels as if to conduct them. Then he turns, and I clearly see his face. It is the Herald. He looks up at me and smiles that smile I have seen so many times before with those familiar dimples. It is a smile that I welcome.”
From a mile away, Ernie can see “those familiar dimples” on Herald’s face.
“With a single note, the Herald begins to sing, and with him the great host of angels sings in perfect harmony.”
Having received a concert performance from thousands of angels, that ought to be enough to prove that Ernie is greatest person on earth. But, no, it is only the beginning! Millions of angels now join the special concert for Ernie’s benefit.
“As they finish the hymn, I notice high above the sky many more angels have descended from the heavens. As I look into the night sky, each of the angels becomes brighter and brighter. It is not possible for me to count them all. The sky is illuminated brighter than the brightest noonday sun. Suddenly the Herald sings a note, and all those angels join in. As they continue, the legions of angels in the amphitheater join in and sing another hymn.”
Well, any true believer is breathless with adoration at the marvelous reception given Ernie. But then he asks that “a host of angels” will accompany Becky and him to wherever they travel and speak.
“I am told that as Becky and I travel, a host of angels will go with us in all we do. We are to know that the Holy Spirit will move upon the meetings, and that great things will be witnessed. The power of God will be evident. The Holy Spirit will speak, and those with means will make it possible for those who wait as His ministers to go out and teach. It will be through our presentations that these ministers will come forward, just as I was shown.”
Yet if you watch one of his web videos, you will see and hear nothing that will impress you that either the Holy Spirit or thousands of angels are present.
By the spring of 2012, vast amounts of money have been poured into Ernie’s pockets, because so many want to be guaranteed a place as “one of the 144,000.” He has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on expensive equipment for his office and on the road.
An angel comes riding up on a white horse, blowing loudly on a trumpet. Apparently some great thing is about to happen. Dismounting by Ernie, the angel tells him:
“He tells me to prepare for the great messenger, because the one I call the Herald has been sent with messages that are to be shared, and I will be instructed when to share them. Again the angel says to prepare for the great messenger, because he brings a message from the heavenly Father, spoken while He sits on His throne.
“The angel places his right hand on my left shoulder, calls me by my heavenly name, and again instructs me to prepare for the great messenger.”
Sounds very impressive, as the angel comments that “Herald” is the “great messenger,” sent directly from God to Ernie.
Ernie has repeatedly shown himself to be a great man. He regularly receives repeated visits from Christ and the highest of the angels, both coming down to earth to speak with him, hug him, walk along hand in hand with him, and carries him off to see various things.
And he has told us that even his “triple name,” Ernie, Earnie, and Earnest, are special names for “truth.”
It was only recently that we learned from a dream that Herald is the leader of the heavenly choirs (a position formerly held by Lucifer),—and now the great truth is clearly disclosed for the first time that, yes, indeed,—Herald is the highest angel in heaven: He is Gabriel himself!
“I know that this great messenger is the one who took Satan’s place, and now he stands nearest to the throne of God. This angel, who asked to be called the Herald and always tells me that the only name that is worthy to be spoken is Jesus, is the angel named Gabriel.”
Then Ernie is said to see something rather grotesque. After flying out from Orion, Herald, accompanied by other angels and trumpets,—stack six trumpets inside one another—and then fly into and through them! Does this make sense? While inside, they holler and make a big noise. (I know this sounds ridiculous, but this is what Ernie writes.) Then they fly out the front of the stacked trumpets.
Suddenly, Ernie is said to be in a field and Jesus is walking toward him. Running up and hugging Jesus, Ernie walks with Him through a field, with lambs following behind. (Ernie never falls on his face in worship before Jesus, for Ernie is too great a man for thiat.) Jesus tells Ernie to prepare for the battle which will soon begin. Jesus then announces that terrible judgments are about to fall on the Adventist Church because of its sins.
As an exciting perliminary to this massive destruction, Herald takes Ernie by the hand and the flies up to the Orion Nebula, where they see the Holy City in the distance. It is not on a planet, but out in space where it can be easily seen. (If that is true, then there is no atmosphere—no oxygen—for those visiting it to breathe), Then they swiftly fly back down to earth on this quick, multi-million mile trip up to Orion and back. Like so many things in these dreams, these fantastic details attract those who prefer exciting stories, rather than studying the words of Inspired writers which point out their sins and urge that they put them away.
Angels are next dispatched to begin pouring liquid destruction on various Adventist centers, large and small
“Now the Herald and I return through the opening and quickly approach the blue earth once again.”
The first Adventist property to be destroyed—along with everyone in it—is the Battle Creek Sanitarium in Battle Creek, Michigan.
“Now we are just a few hundred feet in the air above what I know to be the old Battle Creek Sanitarium. I watch as many angels descend from on high. They begin to pour out vials having a thick, pure, golden liquid over the Battle Creek Sanitarium. As I watch this large structure burn, I know that no device of man has the power to calm the fires of God’s wrath.”
Well, all that sounds interesting,—but checking into it, we find that no Adventists have owned the property or lived there for years! The Sanitarium (rebuilt in 1903 after the 1902 fire) went into bankruptcy in 1933, but remained open until 1942, when the United States Army, which had bought the complex for $2,341,000, converted the buildings into the Percy Jones Army Hospital for treating soldiers wounded in World War II, and later durng the Korean War. In 1954, it began housing a cluster of federal agencies under the name, the Battle Creek Federal Center. In 2003, the name was changed to the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center. But the 1903 rebuilt Sanitarium is still there (now called “Building 2”) as a prominent part of the Center. Over a thousand federal workers work in and around that building.
—But in this dream, we are told that this important government facility with a large number of non-Adventist federal workers will be destroyed!
(Ernie would be wise to not post all his peculiar dreams on the internet, lest the FBI decide to investigate him, as they do with others who write on the internet about destroying government buildings.)
According to the dream, this will be the first of many Adventist facilities to be destroyed. Let us briefly view what follows. Ernie tells us he and Herald are still hovering over Battle Creek:
“ Again, the Herald and I are only a few hundred feet in the air above Battle Creek, Michigan. Angels approach the Review and Herald publishing house and pour out the same liquid over it.”
—Yet another oddity! A major fire on December 30, 1902 destroyed the offices of the Review in Battle Creek. So the next year it quickly moved into Washington D.C.; and later to the edge of the District, next to Takoma Park, Maryland. In 1983 it moved to Hagerstown, Maryland onto a 127-acre campus, where it employs approximately 175 people. —There has been no Review office or building in Battle Creek since December 1902!
Once again, Herald and Ernie fly out to Orion and hear God speak with more praise for Ernie:
“I hear God’s voice saying my heavenly name and that I stand as Elijah and John the Baptist. He says that I was named long before I was born and that I have been called to serve as His messenger.
Next to be destroyed will be “the General Conference building in Maryland; and next—
“God’s destroying angels will go to certain Seventh-day Adventist publishing houses, union and conference offices, hospitals, and schools. The angels are to show no pity or remorse. They are to destroy without reservation. They are not to spare, but must slay old and young, male and female, ignorant and highly educated, whether they are those who sit in high positions or low, whether they are the shepherds or the sheep. He will command His angels to destroy. When those who suffer begin to cry out, the angels are not to pity or show remorse.”
Ernie is then shown the destruction of very large numbers of Adventist offices, institutions, and schools—including grade schools!
“Now we are a few hundred feet in the air looking down on the current General Conference building.”
“I watch now as many angels descend from above and begin to pour out the vials over the General Conference building. The fire is so hot, that the glass façade instantly melts . . The angels now proceed to go through the burning building to pour out the vials on individuals who try to escape. I see many running out of the building, but as before, the destroying angels knock them to the ground and pour additional liquid over them. The angels are no respecters of persons or age.”
“Now the Herald and I go to the Review and Herald Publishing Association in Hagerstown, Maryland. I watch the angels pour out the vials, and the building appears to melt from the intense heat of the flames . . the angels destroy those who are inside the building and those who flee outside. Again, they show no compassion or remorse. Everything is destroyed, from the strongest metal beam to the fishbowl on a desk. Yet the nearby trees, stores, and vehicles on the highway are unharmed.
“Next, I am taken to a conference office . . Because of their union with Satan, all must be destroyed. Once again I see the vials poured out.”
Next to be destroyed is the “Loma Linda University Medical Center.” Then “additional Seventh-day Adventist universities, as well as colleges, academies, elementary schools, and preschools. The Herald tells me that the angels were instructed to show no pity toward the young either.” Even preschool children are slain!
“The time when the destruction is poured out on the General Conference, certain publishing houses, union and conference offices, hospitals, and schools is during the work week, when the buildings are full of employees, patients, or students. The destruction is worldwide.
“The Herald and I now observe the destruction of many ministries, such as Breath of Life, Faith for Today, It Is Written, Voice of Prophecy, Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN), and other language ministries, like La Voz de la Esperanza . . I see Amazing Facts being consumed.
For a moment, let us consider when these terrible destructions are supposed to occur. Elsewhere in this dream, we are told that they will not happen until a future time, not far off. We are also told that when it occurs, no non-Adventist organizations or structures will be destroyed.
“There are news reports and talk shows about the devastation that occurred. It is reported that only Seventh-day Adventist institutions and those in them were destroyed. Everyone is calling it the wrath of God. Several stations broadcast how non-Adventist buildings next to those destroyed were unharmed. As I look down, I see a popular news magazine. The front cover shows a photo of the ashen remains of the Seventh-day Adventist General Conference world headquarters. The caption reads, “God’s Wrath Upon an Evil Cult.”
All this gets us to thinking: Since it has become quite clear that Satan is behind these dreams,—why would he give Ernie this particular dream? —Because this is what the devil wishes would happen! It is his wish list: First, destroy all Adventist buildings and people. Second, do it at a time when all the world will hate Sabbathkeepers even more—and therefore will reject the Sabbath truth even more!
In other words, carry on this destruction—not after the close of probation during the plagues,—but just after enactment of the National Sunday Law, or, ideally, before it.
Well then, when do the destructions in this dream occur? At some point in Ernie’s description of the dream, he says that it will be at some future time.
But the dream itself clearly points to the very near future—before the National Sunday Law is enacted!
Here is the evidence:
After most all Adventist churches are destroyed, Ernie is shown some which were spared. Their members ask the Sunday-keeping churches to accept them as Sunday-keepers! These church members are just as much, if not more, in apostasy, for they quickly unite with the Sunday churches!
“I see Adventist churches that were not harmed. Many of the members flee from the churches. Places are set up where those surviving members can request to have their membership transferred to the Sunday church of their choice. Talk shows interview certain members, who mention how they were deceived into believing the Adventist teachings. They state that now they understand that because of God’s wrath they need to keep the Sabbath holy on the first day of the week.”
—It would not be possible for the above to occur after the National Sunday Law was passed, because within a couple weeks after its enactment, every Adventist in America will, in response to the threat of imprisonment and death, immediately choose to remain solidly loyal to God, or join the Sunday-keepers!
Here is another quotation from this dream which clearly shows that, according to what it teaches, when the National Sunday Law is enacted, the destruction of large numbers of Adventists and their buildings will already have occurred:
“Those who do not keep Sunday holy are called terrorists, extremists, and non-conformists, and people are encouraged to report them to the authorities. They are arrested and placed in prison or in concentration camps to be re-educated. Those who refuse to be re-educated will not be provided food. All their belongings will be taken away from them. At first they will be together with family members, then the spouses will be separated and the children will be taken away. The authorities remind the faithful that God destroyed Seventh-day Adventist facilities, as well as their employees, students, or members. They are told that God took out His wrath on a church that did not observe the first day of the week, and that those who worship on Sunday are being taken care of . . It is quickly decided that those who choose to ignore the directions of the world’s leaders are to be persecuted and/or killed.”
We are told that only Adventist churches and organizations receive this initial destruction from God. But, of course, this is what Satan, the source of these dreams, would like to happen!
There is no word nor hint here on any reprisals or destructions from God on the Catholics, Sunday-keepers, perverts, abortionists, gambling syndicates, terrorists, or any other bad people;—only those still keeping the Bible Sabbath, as the above quotation reveals, are burned alive without mercy.
I will say it again: This is Satan’s wish list: destroy the Sabbathkeepers and their facilities before or at the beginning of the loud cry, so Sundaykeepers will be sure not to accept the Bible Sabbath!
Notice that no fire fell on the Vatican. Satan wants to protect that place as long as possible.
As for Ernie, his comments indicate that he is quite happy with the elimination of the Adventists, including their children.
Then “Jesus” pauses from the destruction to praise Ernie some more:
“Jesus stops and reminds me that before I was conceived, my name Earnest, which means truth, had been chosen by God, as well as my role as a messenger for His Church. He explains that I am to serve as Elijah did in calling people to repentance. He says that I am also to serve as John the Baptist did and to give rebuke when instructed to. Just as John the Baptist prepared a people for His first coming, I am to prepare a people for His Second Coming.”
“We stop again, and Jesus turns to me and stresses that those who speak and take actions against God’s prophets, those who trample on their messages and spread lies and false accusations, will stand to receive His wrath.”
Let us pause once again to consider what we have been discovering:
First, we have discovered in these dreams that they are full of irrelevant details.
Second, they teach many things which do not agree with the Bible or Spirit of Prophecy.
Third, we have found that the special messenger (Ernie) is frequently praised extragantly.
Fourth, the whole thing appears to be a plan of Satan to distract, confuse, and mislead faithful Advent believers.
I have, in the past, found that the same four-fold pattern has been present when I have studied and reported on earlier so-called “Adventist prophets.”
As we have viewed this December 12, 2012 dream (which, at the time of this writing, is one of the most recent), several facts stand out:
• The blatant disregard of Bible, Spirit of Prophecy, historical facts, and even the timing of last-day events.
• The obvious truth is that that Satan, not God, is behind all of these dreams.
Now we come to Part Two of this lengthy dream:
“Once again, the Herald takes me higher and I watch the earth spin quickly, then slow down to its normal speed. He informs me that now he will show me something that will fulfill an unconditional promise. However, no one is to know the date when it will happen.”
Then the bringing forth of the ark of the covenant from where it has been hidden is mentioned. I have already discussed this in detail earlier (see section entitled, “The Cross - May 25, 2008”).
Once again in this dream, it is time to heap additional commendation and praise on Ernie.
“The Herald now takes me into the vastness of space within the black veil. Yet even there I see a beauty that is hard to put into words. He reminds me that Ellen White was shown much. Some of the things she was shown were not shared publicly or only shared with specific individuals. This has been the case for me, as well. One of the things Ellen White was shown was that at the very end, God would raise up a prophet who had been named long before he was born. She was instructed not to mention the individual, but his first name, Earnest, and its meaning, truth, were written in the following statement, as well as the fact that he would not be accepted by many.
“Prophecy must be fulfilled. The Lord says, ‘Behold, I send you Elijah the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.’ Somebody is to come in the spirit and power of Elijah, and when he appears, men may say, ‘You are too earnest, you do not interpret the Scriptures in the proper way. Let me tell you how to teach your message.’ There are many who cannot distinguish between the work of God and that of man. I shall tell the truth as God gives it to me, and I say now, If you continue to find fault, to have a spirit of variance, you will never know the truth.”—Review, February 18, 1890.
Notice the positioning of the above underlining, which Ernie placed there. He is trying to say that his name is there, showing that he is the Elijah to come.
Ellen White wrote the above words at a time when very influential leaders at Battle Creek were solidly against her! Notice the last two sentences of the above quotation. She is speaking about herself as the Elijah to come, to prepare the way for Christ’s Second Advent.
After the above statement, the Herald (who I believe is Satan) says that the Adventist people need a new prophet at the end time. Beware, through the devil’s agency, not only Ernie but still more false prophets will arise to bring in confusion and lead away many of God’s people.
“The Herald says that most believe that Ellen White was referring to herself in this statement. While she did teach in the spirit and power of Elijah, she was not the prophet for the very end. The Herald reminds me that people have stated that I do not understand the messages I have been given, so they try to correct me.”
That brings us up to nearly the present time. While carefully reading all of Ernie’s dreams, a prominent question was whether he was the principal author, or was it his spirit guide? Since then, I have viewed his web videos, and now conclude that he does not have sufficient mental acuity to be in charge of the content of these dreams. Frankly, this makes them even more sinister! The dreams themselves clearly show that they originate with Satan. Now we have double certainty of this.
